This book was chilling! I loved it. Very unpredictable. Just what I love in a thriller. I don't want to say much more because I'll end up giving away something and ruin it for the reader. Loved Seth and Laney. I can't wait to read the next book from Sherry Foley!

Switched in Death by Sherry Foley is a psychological thriller that will keep the pages turning right to the end. There is just the right mixture of plot and pacing to keep the reader enthralled with the story.

The last thing Detective Seth Banning expects to find during a horrendous serial killer spree is a woman to love. His past is haunting him, his present is filled with danger and his future is threatened when Laney is kidnapped by the deranged killer.

Ms. Foley has managed to write a very detailed novel that has suspense, romance and just enough of a mystery to keep you engrossed in the story.

Foley shows her writing ability very well in this debut novel. Her characters are three dimensional, the plot is substantial and not nearly as predictable as some would think a romantic suspense might be.

This book crosses the genres and will appeal to both romance lovers and those that like more of a thriller in their reading pleasures. Foley has a wonderful ability to draw you into the minds of all the characters--even the killer.

This is right on par with other psychological thrillers by authors like Iris Johansen, Kay Hooper and Linda Howard. If you enjoy those authors--you'll like Foley. I give this book 5/5 stars.

While there are a few mild formatting errors in the book--they don't distract from the story or reading at all. It definitely deserves a spot on your to be read shelf. This reviewer will be reading more of Foley's work.

This was one of the best if not the best books I have ever read. I am not a big reader and it usually takes me weeks to get through a book, but not this time. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one!

A serial killer is on the loose, swapping the heads and bodies of the victims. In the middle of trying to solve this gruesome crime, homicide detective, Seth, falls for his new neighbor, Laney, who has secrets of her own. I would highly recommend. Loved it.

In Switched in Death, Sherry Foley keeps two trains running and they are both converging on Elaine (Laney) Von Hagan. One is driven by a murderous father and the other carries a crazed serial killer. Sherry Foley keeps you turning pages as events unfold. Police Detective Seth Banning is the perfect wounded hero and you can't help but root for Seth and Laney. Their attraction to one another is palpable from the start, but both have reasons for being a bit guarded. All in all, Switched in Death is a gripping story of suspense that takes you into the twisted mind of a serial killer through a very inventive plot line. This one is a must read.

"Switched in Death" is a murder mystery that takes place in the area's around Kansas City. The scenes are well set and give the reader a feeling for both the area and the local people who inhabit the story.

But this is a more character driven story and her characters are very well done. The back story she gives on each of the characters fit with her descriptions and their actions. No one is out of place or out of sync with the foreword movement of the plot. Each of her characters is well drawn, interesting and mirrors the people we meet everyday. Which just makes it a better story overall. Her characters find realistic solutions to problems without amazing escapes or incredible leaps of logic which have no basis with the facts of the story. Her writing is realistic, refreshingly so.

To say Ms. Foley has given us a richly drawn criminal protagonists would be an understatement. Ms.Foley has managed to draw the reader into the plot with finesse and skill giving us a protagonist who is not only realistic but oddly sympathetic.

With good guys, bad guys, love interests and a quirky neighbour, not to mention a cool and fun animal character there is something for everyone in this book.

I will follow Ms. Foleys work in future.
