CLOSING IN ON THE TRUTH, July 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Switched (Paperback)
A great read! I only wish this was a movie as well. Author Gary Sacco transcends himself into the main character as "big brother" forces him into keeping silent about what he has discovered - the truth (an ancient alien science that is being taught/programed to children). There should be a warning label on this book, however: "Parents: May cause sleep loss, night anxiety, and paranoia." LOL. All kidding aside, there were some really scary concepts presented in this book that I had never considered when thinking about the whole alien abduction phenomenon.

From an amtueur interested in extraterristrial life, June 28, 2003
This review is from: The Switched (Paperback)
I have found the book fascinating to read. It is like a story, and you don't want to stop reading unless you are finished. Of course, after reading it you may want to pursue more serious material, like David Jacob's Secret Life, which I am reading at present. I would recommend this book to anyone having to look at the ET issue from a lighter side.

NEW FACTS TURNED ME INTO A BELIEVER!, June 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Switched (Paperback)
To be honest, I read this book only because it was given to me as a "must read" from a friend of mine. I was never interested in the "UFO" stuff. I was pleasantly surprised to find it more about inner-space than outer-space. Im an advid reader of Capra, and Chopra (New Age authors) and found G.D. Sacco's THE SWITCHED brilliant, enlightening, imaginative, and though I consider myself the ultimate skeptic, very believable.

A very unique look at alien abductions. Scary concepts brought out by the author made me lose sleep. Bought book after reading an article about the author/book. Convincing. I recommend if you're brave at heart...

Something to think about!, March 11, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Switched (Paperback)
This is a real enjoyable book. It kind of gives you the chills when you think about it. It opened my mind to alot of different aspects that I might never have thought of otherwise concerning alien abductions. It doesn't matter if you believe in aliens and abductions or not. You will still enjoy this book and it might even make YOU wonder...Could this really be happening?

A fun ride, February 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Switched (Paperback)
This book was about as fun as it gets. With each turn, a new twist that you didnt expect. Original thinking, with under-currents in quantum realities that the lay person could understand and apply and use in his/her own life.

utter rubbish, March 3, 2009
This review is from: The Switched (Paperback)
When I was asked to review this book, I was told it was a science-fiction novel. At the time, I was a lowly visiting assistant professor and much too eager to please everyone. I didn't find this book well-written, entertaining, original, or even plausible, but the nicest thing I could think of to say about it was, "I found 'The Switched' charmingly imaginative, if a bit offbeat. The author appears to have kept things logically self-consistent and not totally out of line with present scientific knowledge---but then, this being fiction, this really doesn't matter nearly so much as telling a good story."
As you can see, this is misquoted on the cover as, "...in line with present scientific knowledge..."
The publisher and the author ought to be ashamed of themselves. I regret ever having answered them. NASA has long had a policy of just not responding to cranks, and now I see why.
See "The Demon-Haunted World," by Carl Sagan, for a debunking of the myths that we are being visited by beings from other worlds, and that they abduct humans. Anyone with even a halfway-decent mind should be able to see right through this nonsense: for example, if alien abductions are so common, how come they never seem to wake the neighbors? How come there's never any compelling physical evidence?
If I could give this rubbish zero stars, I would.
