Combine
this book with searches on youtube for the fill in
the gap answers sections and you would be up and
running in basic switching concepts at the ccna level.
if you can, ask around for the instructors copy to
compare answers.If you do not have youtube perhaps
you might have to purchase the study guide or other
reference to explain the concepts that are required
in the fill in the blank section.Save you config in
notepad or packet tracer because there are tons of exercises .
You do not want to type alway from the beginning of
the first exercise to the last exercise in the last
chapter.It would take weeks to finish the book that
way.Perhaps there is a better book out there.This
one gets a 5 .Who has time for more than one good book.

After much wrangling the book arrived as promised and I've had no troubles. It'x fully annotated and the references seem to be complete; however, I will be more careful when ordering next time.

I found this guide to be a great addition to the textbook it is partnered with. If I needed extra practice at solidifying my newly learned skills, this was a great aid and help.

Down and dirty information and I mean nuts and bolts, one should consider buying the workbook and Packet Tracer 5.0 (or later) to fully benefit from the text. A great prep tool for a portion of the CCNA exam.

Brand new book - used in conjucntion with a community college class with the same title. Much better value than buying at the college bookstore. Very happy and satisfied with this purchase - thank you.
