Product Description

Safe and Fun for All Ages
Let's be honest, sometimes you just need somewhere to direct your kid's energy. Get them away from the T.V. with the easy-to-use Swivel Car. This ride on toy is so safe and easy that a toddler can enjoy it, and the heavy-duty construction is sure to let older kids (or even adults!) have a blast.
This toy relies on gravity and friction created by the rider. Not only is this great exercise and entertainment, but the Swivel Car helps children develop their motor skills as they cruise around tables or roll around on the driveway.

New and Improved Wheels

We upgraded the wheels from the polypropylene plastic that easily breaks, to polyurethane (rubber) wheels. This is a huge innovation that makes for a faster, smoother ride that can handle rougher surfaces. Here's a quick rundown on the benefits of using polyurethane:

  • The material is more elastic
  • Can rebound- the wheel will return to its original shape quickly after being distorted. These wheels can handle rougher surfaces as it will conform to the shape of a small rock, then quickly rebound to its original shape. This also minimizes the rolling resistance of the wheel so it can ride faster and smoother.
  • Resistant to flat spotting- A lot of wheels will wear in only one spot, which makes an annoying egg-shape that ruins the wheel's functionality. The polyurethane is more durable, but will wear evenly to prolong the life of the wheel.
  • Won't scratch hardwood floors
  • ABEC 7 bearings- We also added Abec7 bearings which cause less friction, so these wheels are more durable for longer-lasting fun.

Indoor or Outdoor Use
Here's another bonus. The wheels won't scratch or dent your hardwood floors, making it great for both indoor and outdoor use. This quiet toy can give your kid great exercise and fun even through those long winter months or on bad weather days.

Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

They have hardwood floors in their house and it works great on them.
Joan Robertson
It looks like the steering rod is too thin, so it just cannot be connected to the front wheel.
Chiachi Lan
It's amazing that such a toy could be for everybody fun, both, kids and adults.

Kids of all ages love this thing. Our daughter is 8, son nearly 10, and they LOVE this thing. Every kid that comes to the house hops on it. But do yourself a big favor and replace the wheels with razor wheels. It's easy to do and will make this thing quiet, plus the better wheels will save your floors if your kids ride it inside. We bought the swivel car and really don't see a difference from the Plasma.

I ordered one swivel car and one plasma car. The swivel car is far better than the plasma car. The swivel car had real wheels like on a skate board - not plastic wheels like the plasma car. It is so quiet on smooth on the hardwood floors. I rode it with my 9 month old baby and he loved the ride. So weight limit is good as I bought it for preschool and school age kids. The kids and adults loved it so much I ordered two more and returned the plasma car since it would NOT go on the hard wood and husband had fears of it scratching the floor! I put two of the cars together with no issue at all. Took all of 5 minutes! It arrives in a amazon box and when opened it is not in it's own box but a plastic bag. Plasma car arrived in it own plasma car box. One swivel car had a issue and called the swivel car company - got a generic answering maching - I left a message but it has not been returned yet. I returned it to Amazon with ZERO issues and will get another swivel car!

We have two others and my daughter was looking forward to having her own to ride. I already replaced the wheels on the other plasma cars with rollerblade wheels so I went with this brand because it comes with them already.+1 Unfortunately the plastic cracked on the side and broke off while assembling and turning it over.-3 Comparing it to the original plasma cars we have, it is MUCH thinner plastic all around and apparently not as durable. Disappointed. She's a bit finicky about looks so she's constantly looking at it. Emailed linenspa and initially they said they'd be happy to help, they have ignored my followup emails.

My grandchildren, ages 2 and 6, both love this toy. I had previously purchased one from another company and wanted another so they could both ride at the same time. This one is smoother and quieter than the first one. Wish I had gotten both from Amazon. And it came faster than was expected.

I got a little confused when it came to attaching the steering wheel but, once we got this thing together, it was alllll fun! I bought this as a b-day present for my 2 yr old. My 16 yr old daughter was doing laps around our kitchen island within minutes shouting, "Wooooo! Woooo Woooo!" and begging us to buy more so she and her friends can race! Too funny! We laughed til our stomachs hurt!!! On a side note, I didn't learn until it arrived that it was for ages 3 and up. No worries...it will be used plenty!

Excellent construction and value. Our two-year old grandson loves it, as does his four-year old brother, his six other boy cousins ... and his Grand Father.

I bought my daughter a red plasma car and now that my younger son is 2 years old, he's always fighting with his older sister to ride it. I decided to get the Swivel car since it looks the same in the pictures, had good reviews on Amazon, but cheaper than a plasma car. When I received it I was very surprised that it really is as good as a plasma car. The only difference that I can see were:

1. The black seat area has a different design (and seems to be a cheaper molding process and design)
2. The wheels are actually MUCH nicer than on my plasma car. The Swivel car has softish rubberlike wheels which seem to me to be like those on rollerblades.
3. The documentation seems crappy (made in China style).

However, since it's easy to assemble I don't really care about the documents. The fact that the wheels are much nicer more than made up for the fact that he black seat areas was not as nice. Since my kids don't care about how the black part looks anyway it's a no brainer for me. Here's the best part. The swivel car makes almost no noise when ridden. I only let my kids use this in the house and the original car is noisy as hell when it's raced around. The new one is so quiet I can't hear it and my wife and I now call it the "Stealth Car" as the kid can sneak up on you and run your toes over since you can't hear it coming. I like it so much I plan to buy another one and sell of my Plasma car.

It's possible however that Plasma cars now come with these new roller blade style wheels because mine is a few years old now, but why pay more for basically the same thing?
