tough grab hook
works great and really grabs hold - they need to make a locking swivel for overhead lifting with same quality - this hook will drag a log anywhere you could want to take it.

Working alone? Don't bother
There is virtually no way to keep the line taut enough to keep the jaws closed. I suppose it would be alright if you had someone keeping everything tight until you got tension. The description made it sound like it had enough bite to solve this issue; not true in my experience.

These skidder tongs work great! The description says they are made from 3/8" steel but actually they are made from 3/4", much stronger steel. I used these tongs to drag logs from the woods for the fire wood pile and they are working very well!
