Truly the best tool for the job.

For someone who waxes one pair of skis on occasion, it wasn't worth it to me to spend the money on a better iron.

A+ product already used it 2-3 times in first week (if it breaks ill repost) measured temp with thermostat. temp switch seems quite accurate. maxes out at 150 degrees celcius(will still destroy ski/board in seconds fyi, but great temperature setting for most waxes). flat bottom on iron. comes up to temp in 30sec!!! was very pleased by this, reaches temp +/- 5 degrees then cools about 25 degrees before the light comes back on and heats back to temp. long cord is a plus. remember to never go over the same spot twice! you should see a "slug pool" of wax trailing the iron 2" behind it, and drying just as quickly 6" behind the path of your iron. Cover every inch, let it cool, scrape, buff(i like using 3m scotchbrite), and you are done! warm your ski/snowboard to room temp first for best/easiest results. I like to use swix waxes, but just remember...hard wax for cold/soft wax for warm. fluoro to get an edge on your buddies ;) a good all temp wax is best for most enthusiasts. happy riding!

My husband loves this iron. I do not even have to beg him to wax our skis. It truly does a great job.

I have used this iron a handful of times now and have not had any issues. It heats up quickly and does the job. The cord does get in the way sometimes and there is no way to store it, but it's an iron after all - no big deal. I would recommend it.
