The Dragontales series is a lot like Choose Your Own Adventure. The story is told in the second person (everything is from the point of view of the main character, who is addressed as "you"), and at certain points in the story, readers are asked to make decisions about what the main character should do, which influences the course of the story. There are multiple endings to the story, both good and bad.

Amazon has gotten the title of the book wrong, though. The full title of the first book in this series is Sword Daughter's Quest. There is another entry for this title on Amazon, but it is listed as unavailable.

The story is a combination fantasy/romance. The main character is a girl named Tyrna. She is on a journey with her father by caravan to join in the Warrior Games. Tyrna is in training to be a fighter under her father's tutelage. However, before they can reach their destination, they are attacked by orcs. Her father is murdered, and the other members of the caravan are taken captive. During the battle, Tyrna was knocked unconcious and overlooked by the orcs. When she wakes up, she meets Gavin, the elven ranger who was supposed to meet up with their caravan. Tyrna is determined to find the orcs, free the caravaners, and take revenge for her father's death. However, strange things have been happening in the area, and there might be more than just orcs lurking around. Tyrna will need Gavin's help to complete her mission, but whether she is successful or not depends on what the reader decides.
