Big Sword Full Tang Battle Ready HUGE SIZE

I just recently purchased this sword and I must say that I am quite impressed with it. It's HUGE and actually quite heavy too. So for parents interested in buying this for their Final Fantasy loving kid, this is not really meant to be a toy. It should only be used for Display purposes only, and really nothing else. Of note though, in the description the site says that the sword has a "razor sharp edge" and it indeed does NOT. It's not sharp at all. However, I see this as being a good thing. If a sword of this size and weight were to have a razor sharp edge, there would probably be some nasty accidents happening with toes or other body parts being whacked off. I love Final Fantasy 7 so I was very happy to find this sword online and it was pretty cool to be holding Cloud's sword in my hands when it arrived. So in the end, it's a great sword for both sword collectors and for Final Fantasy freaks, but don't expect to go around chopping down trees with it. It'll be great to display once I manage to build some kind of stand for it.

The sword itself is awesome to behold. Though the guard was only minorly spot welded and is loose from just a few minutes of play. No, I didn't hit anything. Blade is heavy, would look good if it were not scratched so bad. Can be polished up. If you know people to repair this, I suggest you do so. Cool sword, Chinese craftsmanship. Should you buy it? Hell yeah.

The sword I ordered has the handle that appears to have been glued on with wood glue and the plate on the cross-guard is so loose that I fear that the blade will fly out of the handle. I mean the sword without the handle problem is very nice but for it being shiped like this is a let down.

The sword was delivered in a timely manner. It is quite beautiful. However, the blade was not set straight in relation to the hilt, and it has a couple parts of the blade that are slightly off color, probably due to an uneven application of the metal polish they used.

When I first recieved this sword through the mail it was like the best thing ever. Looked exactly like the one in Final Fantasy and it was huge. There was really nothing wrong with it until that one day when I happened to drop it while cleaning it. Then I found out that the blade isn't actually connect to the handle and the guard. When the sword fell on the ground the top part of the guard that covered the inside got dented inward and it was loose. I moved the piece up and figuered out that the blade actually moved up. I looked inside under the top sheet of metal that was covering the guard and I realized that there was a round piece of wood inside the guard going down to the handle and that they just glued the piece of wood there and shoved the blade into it then glued the top part of the guard onto the wood to cover everything else. I pushed the blade back in to where it was before, but I don't think I'll be swinging it around anymore because you can't really risk it flying off and killing someone... It better off if you buy a case/stand or make one and stick it in there for display because one drop can ruin it all, but there really isn't a better replica beside this one. Still, I expected it to be connected with metal and I am sort of disappointed...

EDIT: Had someone with the same problem and they didn't want their sword anymore and we decided to take it apart and have a closer look. The handle of the sword is completely hollow same with the guard. In the handle there is a cylindric piece of wood that is shoved down the handle and glued with wood or super glue to the sides of the handle on the inside. The Blade extends all the way down in full size to the end of the guard then it narrows down to around the width of the handle which is around a little over an inch.. the blade also gets thinner and is around 1-2 millimeters thick compared to the thick part of the blade on the top which is 5 milimeters thick... for people who don't understand this take a look at one of your regular small knives that you use to cut food and etc with. That should be around 1 millimeter. That part of the blade extends almost all the way down the piece of wood and the handle. I REALLY wouldn't consider this full tang but they twisted the meaning around. The blade isn't welded onto the handle or the guard. So they're really like 2 separate pieces. Pretty cheap if you ask me....

The sword looks awesome only problem is that it's quite heavy and should only be used pretty much for display purposes. But for the low price,you should get it. Espicially if you are a fan of final fantasy...only gave it 4 stars cuz its obviously not battle ready, it's not too sharp and it's way too big. Only buy if you like final fantasy or like how the sword looks.

The buster sword is an amazing item to own. If you are a FFVII fan then this is definitely a must own item. I suggest it for anyone who loves the Final Fantasy series or loves to collect swords.

This swors was no more sharp than a butter knife, that's probebly a good thing.

Being myself both a sword collector and a fan of Final Fantasy VII, I highly doubted that a realistic replica of Cloud's Buster sword even existed, let alone for this cost! I was surprised to find that not only is this replica accurately sized, but it is also rather well made. In my experience, often, after months of swinging swords around, the blade to loosen in the handle and wobble a bit, especially if it seems rather inexpensive for what you get, but this one feels solid. Great display piece! Don't expect to be able to weild it like you would another sword. This is even heavier that you would expect. All in all, an excellent sword.

There were a few minor imperfections, but i'm overall happy with this sword. The attention to detail and replication of Cloud's weapon are commendable!
