The Complete set,
By Walter (Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Sword of Truth Gift Set, Books 1-5 (Hardcover)
I have read the complete set of 5 books. They were riviting to say the least, they will keep you on the edge of your seat, the unexpected occurs at every turn - I could not have imagined the problems that Richard Cypher (Rahl) and Kahlem Amnell would get in and out of. Totally different from any other fantasies I've read

Tolkien Finally Has Competition,

This review is from: The Sword of Truth Gift Set, Books 1-5 (Hardcover)
These series of books show the brilliant and creative imagination of Mr. Goodkind. I found myself unable to place the book down. His intriguing and descriptive usage of words, pull you in from the first to the last page. These books display a mixture of fantasy, mystery, and suspense. Towards the end of any of these five books, you think you have finally solved the puzzle, when out of no where, Goodkind adds another detail and the puzzle--you realize--is now missing pieces. Once again, you must put your mind to the test and rearrange the characters, conditions, and settings. At times, these books are very contradicting! Throughout the series, Kahlan Amnell, Richard Cypher(Rahl)--a once quiet and modest woodsman, and Zedd--the last of great wizards--stand together to battle evil and protect the innocent throughout the lands of Westland, the Midlands, and D'Hara. During their journey's, Richard discovers many dark secrets of his past and is named the Seeker. The Seeker carries the Sword of Truth--now you understand where the series' title comes from--and searches in the name of truth. Richard travels to D'Hara and the People's Palace primarily to stop Darken Rahl and to destroy the boxes of Orden. In each of the series, things turn out as hoped, but other things fail. At the end of every book, you want to run to the library and pick up the sequel in order to find out what happens. Only to your dismay, after reading all the five released books, more incidents happen you must wait patiently for Mr. Goodkind to write the next book in the series! Though some argue that Mr. Goodkind's books tend to be on the graphic side, I tend to think that because they are graphic, it means Mr. Goodkind has been able to place words in such a way, we are able to picture what he is writing. Only talented writers such J.R.R. Tolkien and Terry Goodkind are able to make the words flow with such intensity.

The Sword Of Truth Books Review,
By Marek (Adelaide Capital Of SA In Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Sword of Truth Gift Set, Books 1-5 (Hardcover)
I have read the 5 books that are avaiable at the moment And I have to say that when I read 1st title (Wizard's First Rule) and Finished it in the middle of the night I could not wait till morning so that I can go and Buy the reast of the titles to continue the saga. I was truly amazed with the authors way of stimulating a full range of the emotions. Mostly how he can make the story go from sad to miserable and then make it more depresing still, gets the reader glued to the books so that he or she can find out how the caracters in the story can get out of the strive they are in; and then keep the reader like my selfe hanging for the next book to be published so that i can get my hends on it, read it and maybe relax with the knowledge that the caracters (one can't help, but to fall in love with) conquer their troubles and get to life their lifes the way they hope to. Nowing the Author it will be a whille. Truelly Looking Forward to the book 6. whenever that may be.I recomend these books to any true fantasy lover and garenty thay will love it as much as I did. ( Sorry for any speling errors but English is New To me. )
