Add Swords at Sunset to your Holy Grail book collection,
By Edgy Ted (San Francisco) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
Swords at Sunset is an invaluable addition to anyone's book collection on the Holy Grail. The book is the third and final book in a non-fiction trilogy that began with Holy Grail Across the Atlantic and continued with Grail Knights of North America. Author Michael Bradley is a recognized Holy Grail expert who worked as a researcher for the Da Vinci Code movie. In Swords at Sunset, Bradley not only traces Grail refugees to Canada and United States, he uses ancient European weaponry from his archeological digs to contend the refugees and Knights Templar were here centuries before Columbus and met their end in clashes with Indians in Niagara and Vermont. An absolutely fascinating story that comes very highly recommended.

Swords at Sunset stabs heart of Da Vinci Code,
By Billy Bookreader "Bill" (Mississauga) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
Count me among the many people who are convinced Swords at Sunset is a much better book on the Holy Grail than the Da Vinci Code could ever pretend to be. The Da Vinci Code is an enjoyable if somewhat meandering thriller that raises a number of interesting possibilities in the realms of religion and political coverups. Although a novel, the Da Vinci Code does lay claim to a fair bit of factual research from other books and I suspect Swords at Sunset is one of them. Swords at Sunset author Michael Bradley is an esteemed Holy Grail expert who served as a researcher for The Da Vinci Code movie and his research no doubt also made it into the book as well. If you're interested in the Holy Grail, you'll definitely also want to read Swords at Sunset. Interestingly Swords at Sunset establishes quite convincingly a North American connection to the Holy Grail that predates Columbus by centuries. Both books are well worth a read, but in terms of thought-provoking research, Swords at Sunset is definitely the real deal.

Swords at Sunset and Holy Blood are both great books,
By Scary Terry (Rochester, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
Swords at Sunset and Holy Blood, Holy Grail present scholarly investigative research at its meticulous best. The provocative theories explored in these books are based on a careful setting out of facts and evidence that in turn leads to reasonable if somewhat earth-shaking conclusions. These are superb non-fiction stories that are far more compelling and intriguing than the fictional story offered by the over-hyped Da Vinci Code. Anyone interested in the Holy Grail will adore Baigent's Holy Blood book. Also highly recommended as a companion book is Swords at Sunset by Michael Bradley, who also employs thorough research and archeological evidence to contend that the Knights Templar spirited descendents of Jesus to North America centuries ago. The Holy Grail became particularly established in what is today Ontario and Quebec, Canada, and Vermont and New York State. Bradley also draws on The Book of Mormon to piece together an absolutely enthralling and "true" story of Grail knights at conflict with Indian tribes. It may seem too fantastic to be taken seriously, but the book is rich with supportive evidence, including photos of ancient European weaponry found at Niagara and remnants of centuries-old millworks in eastern Canada, plus evidence of "white" people on the Atlantic coast of both countries - centuries before Columbus. I highly recommend both of these well written and utterly captivating books.

Swords at Sunset beats Da Vinci Code,

Much as I liked the Da Vinci Code, it was a work of fiction and cannot compare to the amazing non-fiction Swords at Sunset by Michael Bradley. I can't say enough good things about Swords at Sunset: It is thoroughly researched and it presents very interesting evidence that the Knights Templar snuck the Holy Grail into North America during the Inquisition in Europe centuries ago. I found the archeological evidence and pictures of key findings to be absolutely mind-blowing. I recommend this book highly to anyone with an interest in the Da Vinci Code and the Holy Grail.

Something Totally New in the Grail Vain,
By J Sutherland (CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
I have not read the two book previously written before this one. But I might. This book carries on from the first two about the Grail coming to America with Sinclair (from Rosslyn). This book had some interesting discussion about the Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon Gene pool of the time before Christ. I have not seen this before. The author does make some controversial statements related to 'Jews' so beware.
I dont think he needed to repeat his previous books' titles in every sentence. I kind of got the idea very quickly that he had written more than one book. The Epilogue is very interesting. More on the Cro-magnon, Neanderthal discussion.

I've just finished reading Swords at Sunset - Last stand of North America's Grail knights. I read the entire book non-stop - I couldn't put it down. Author Michael Bradley is a brilliant researcher and writer who offers convincing evidence that the Holy Grail came to North America and Grail refugees met their end in Vermont and Niagara areas. There are also a number of interesting photos of archeologicial evidence Bradley has uncovered and some intriguing information on the origins of man and the roots of Christianity, which are more ancient than we think. A very fascinating book. Highly recommended.

Swords at Sunset author was researcher for Code movie,

I've come across a number of reviews suggesting Swords at Sunset be read in tandem with The Da Vinci Code. Now I understand why. I had the pleasure of reading this remarkable book recently and was captivated by author Michael Bradley's well framed argument that the Knights Templar brought Holy Grail refugess, descendents of Jesus, to North America long before Columbus ever set foot here. Then I learned that Bradley was a researcher behind the Da Vinci Code movie. The Da Vinci Code book and movie are both highly enjoyable. But what's really fascinating is Bradley's non-fiction book putting the Grail in Canada and the United States centuries ago. I learned a great deal. This book is highly recommended.

Swords at Sunset and Da Vinci Code make good team,
By Henry James (Lyon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
Swords at Sunset is a truly terrific non-fiction work that traces the Holy Grail to Canada and the United States. In contrast, the Da Vinci Code is not a literary masterpiece. It's just what it intends to be: An adventure thriller novel and a solid work of fiction that had me reading steadily to the end. If you're like me though, reading this made-up story on the Holy Grail will make you hungry for non-fiction, factual information on the Holy Grail, and for this, I'd strongly recommend reading Swords at Sunset by Michael Bradley, a remarkable book by a critically acclaimed Holy Grail expert (the author served as a researcher for the Da Vinci Code movie starring Tom Hanks and has written around 20 bestselling books, mostly on the Holy Grail). Bradley uses archeological evidence to advance the fascinating theory that the Holy Grail came to North America centuries before Columbus discovered America. Frankly, I found Swords at Sunset to be more fascinating than the fictional Da Vinci Code, but I agree with the many readers out there who suggest both books be read as a set. I sure can't argue with that - both books are a real treat.

Swords at Sunset and Da Vinci Code go well together,
By Spanner Girl "SpannerGirl" (Chicago) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
Swords at Sunset and The Da Vinci Code are two very good books, non-fiction and fiction that should be read as a set for a meaningful appreciation of the Holy Grail story. I thoroughly enjoyed the fictional Da Vinci Code but was left needing more information on research into the Holy Grail. I filled that need by turning to something of a non-fiction companion book, Swords at Sunset by Michael Bradley, who also employs thorough research and archeological evidence to contend that the Knights Templar spirited descendents of Jesus to North America centuries ago. I highly recommend both of these well written and engaging books. Well done Dan Brown and Michael Bradley!

Swords at Sunset traces Holy Grail to North America,
By Maggy May (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swords at Sunset: Last Stand of North America's Grail Knights (Paperback)
Much like his bestselling novel The Magdalene Mandala author Michael Bradley has again tapped into his Holy Grail expert credentials (he's written many books on the Grail and was a researcher for The Da Vinci Code movie).
But unlike The Magdalene Mandala, Bradley's Swords at Sunset is a nonfiction work that utilizes archeological evidence to support his well argued contention that the Holy Grail - the carriers of the Jesus bloodline - were smuggled into North America by the Knights Templar centuries before Columbus set foot here. This is an absolutely fascinating book by a true expert on the Holy Grail. Highly recommended. |
