5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best early music albums available., June 16, 2003

The more you listen to it, the more you hear in it. The small size of the consort give it an intimacy that coupled with the quality of the recording, and
the power of the arrangements and performance, really grabs you. "Heu, Teneri Partus" absolutely takes me away.

I have literally 100s of CDs of Medieval and Renaissance music. This is one of the most satisfying presentations out there. The musicianship is first rate, and the selections on the disk blend together nicely into a whole presentation. However you define your own spirituality, this one has it, in that the style and coloration of the music fits the text. First class. You should own it!
