I am really surprised with the many excellent reviews of this. I paid 11.70 for this, with free shipping, and I do think it is a good value, but I doubt it is what most people would want. Why? Because the fan blade is fully exposed on the bottom. This is only usable on a table top or a lap table, and great care must be given when you plug the usb cord in, as there is no on/off switch. It does seem to cool well. I cannot say if the fan speed actually self adjusts. I have my doubts, but it may. The box it comes in says the height can be adjusted, but I don't see how. It sits on 4 fixed legs. The plastic does seem to be of very good quality. 4 rubber cushions on the top do a good job of keeping the laptop from moving. The usb cord is nice and long. I am using this with a 15" Dell Inspiron, and the cooler is about 1 inch shy on both sides. I definitely would not get this for a 17" laptop, but it seems to be ok with what I have. For my college age daughters, I plan to buy the logitech n100, which seems safer and more convenient, on a bed or in a chair. But for me, I'll get by with the cheaper one. This does have a nice slant from the rear, which makes the keyboard easy to type on. If the fan blade were covered, I definitely would have given it another star.

I purchased this because of the price and the good reviews. This fan is fantastic. Quiet, looks good, provides the perfect angle for using my keyboard and it REALLY keeps my laptop cool. For the price, you cannot go wrong. My laptop has an overheating problem that pretty much renders it useless. This fan has completely eliminated the heating problem. As a side note, the blue lights look really cool in the dark. I use Amazon Prime and they have consistently delivered on time. Don't waste your money on a higher priced fan. This one will solve your heating problem.

This is a short review of the Syba SY-NBK68002 Giant 7-inch laptop cooling pad. Check it out I bet you will not purchase it after seeing the video. On the outside of the box there is something mentioned about a fan speed but I have not found the switch yet unless it adjusts automatically.

This is way cool in more ways than one. It is super quiet, I don't hear it at all. My laptop runs faster and is not shutting down due to being overheated. It is major cool factor of the blue light that comes out from the underside. The price is also fantastic. I no longer will be getting almost burnt on the legs. The rubber legs hold the laptop from slipping.I cannot say enough about this fan. I'm going to copy what another reviewer said and get one for the cable box as that thing is always so hot.

Pros:Thermal events on my laptop have stopped all together when being used normally. The blue lighting is pretty cool, and not overpowering. It plugs into the USB, making things simple. There is no setup software or drivers needed. Even now that I have been using it heavily for a few months, I still cannot hear the fan in action. The fan being so nice and wide means a wide area of ventilation. The fan stops and does not hurt if you manage to stick your finger in it. Foam pads on top and bottom mean that your laptop is not sliding all over. It is built in a manner that dust collection is not an issue. Cons: The bottom is open, so if you set it directly on your lap (or other soft surface), the fan will press against your leg instead of spinning. You must use a hard surface, even if it just a large book. When running huge and heavy programs, it is not efficient enough to always keep up. Thermal events may still occur. The package says the stand is adjustable, but it is not. It is at a fixed height, although the height seems to be good. If you do not like the little sticker on the front, it is next to impossible to remove. Being made of plastic, it does not have much heat sync action. It depends solely on ventilation. There is no on/off switch, although unplugging a USB from a laptop is not a difficult thing. Overall: This is a pretty good little item considering the price range. If you use your laptop for surfing the net or other every day programs, then this is a decent choice. It is quiet and gets the job done at a economic price. However, if you tend to run heavy programs that really produce the heat, you may want to look for something a little meatier.

I use this fan to cool my cable TV box and it works. I connect the USB directly to the cable box to get power for the fan. My wife does not complain the cable box too hot anymore. This fan is very quiet....hardly hear any fan noise. The blue LED light looks nice in the cabinet.

Hardly does a computer product impress me, but this laptop fan was AMAZING.It is just fantastic all the way around: LOOKS, EFFICIENCY, COMPATIBILITY, INNOVATION, UTILITY . For example, a lot of cooling platforms don't have enough space to ventilate the heat buildup. I love the generous space between between the non-skid pads that grip the table up to the tilted platform surface containing the fan. The fan is superquiet! Another thing is that the fan increases its speed as the heat increases WITHOUT adding to the overall noise level. But what is so attractive looks wise are those blue LED lights. I can see where my computer is in dark places or at night. It gives slight ambient lighting, and in dark places that's a plus. I've tested the cooling efficiency and it's right on. Whoever created this was an absolute genius!

I have a 14" Acer laptop that runs really hot, but with this under it, it's not even warm! I've only had it for 3 days so can't speak for longevity, but I would definitely recommend it. As to issues mentioned by others:1. Exposed blades--I use a Lapinator Plus (which I love), so this is not an issue for me. The blades are plastic, so I don't think they'd hurt you. Another reviewer mentioned a blade breaking when her finger hit it--that's a feature, not a bug if you don't want to get cut. 2. It does say on the box (but not the Amazon page) that the height is adjustable, which it is not. The rear legs are a little higher which gives it a nice slope, so not an issue for me. 3. The blue light is nice because it reminds me to unplug it when I put the computer to sleep!

I have a Dell D620 laptop and it runs hot when it's been on for a while. I wanted a laptop cooler and I would have bought one of the $60 types. I read the reviews of this one though and decided to give it a try. I mostly use my laptop on my desk or on a table. I understood before I bought it that I couldn't use it on my lap. It's silent and works great. If there was one thing I would change about this Notebook Cooler, it would involve the height. It's about an inch high in the front. Overall, I'm SUPER happy with this purchase and recommend it for others.

I bought this fan to replace one that is way too loud. This one is silent, does the job and it has cool lights too, what more could you ask for?
