Purchased for a new Windows 7 laptop that lacks a built-in serial port... much of the equipment I use still uses serial for programming/configuration and it seems to work fine with everything I've put it against.
The card includes a rougly 6" RJ-45-to-DB9 cable, and while I haven't tried it personally, it seems that you should be able to extend the length using a regular network cable and coupler if needed. |
