Pretend you have a dictionary in front of you and you want to look up tomato. You flip to the T's. Now pretend there is no way to get there except to flip through every single other word in that dictionary that comes before it. That is what it's like with this book.Unless this book does get a TOC, it is unusable. Forget the 'inconvenience' it really isn't useful without a TOC. The content looks great, but why will I wade through an entire book (and it's a big book) just to find the section I need? I won't remember all this by heart, it is, as it states a thesaurus. Unlike a print book, you can't open the book right away to what you want. The book content? Great. But how can I use it?

This book has a vast amount of information and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a writer or wants to expand their descriptive vocabulary. However, there is no active TOC which makes it difficult to maneuver within the book. I highlighted the main topics along with some of the subtopics for easy navigation. For the price ($.99) it is worth the information.
