Defective,

I bought four of these bulbs and two have failed in the first week of use. In both cases the bulbs were installed in ordinary indoor sockets, so I can only assume they were defective. I've decided to return them all since I highly doubt that they'll last for the suggested 11 years.

Instant-On?,

Don't believe "instant-on." These bulbs come on slowly, like most older CFLs. I have CFLs from other manufacturers that aren't labeled "instant-on" but that light up faster than these.
