Ok I guess I should not complain because I won this TV this summer, but I agree with the person who said they have a buzzing sound. Sometimes when I am watching a show and it makes a cut to the next scene you can hear a buzzing sound, which is quite loud. It is rare but it does happen. On another note, i was walking around my room on my cell phone and when I got near the TV it was buzzing so loud, but when i stepped away from the TV it was fine. It is an overall "OK" TV. But I don't think that I would buy it, I am glad I got it for free. It doesn't have a clock, you can't change the tint, color, or anything!

I'm not saying that every set will have this problem but mine does! Whenever there is white on the screen, there is a high pitched buzzing. I'm a quiet person and an apartment dweller so I like to keep the volume rather low. Sometimes I can't hear the dialog because of the buzzing. I've set the brightness and contrast low which has reduced the buzzing but now I often can't make out what's on the screen...certainly not any detail. I will NEVER buy electronics by mail order again. Unfortunately, since I was away for a while and the windows were open and the fans were going, it wasn't until the summer's end that I realized the extent of the problem...

This product is great, the clarity is good and the colors are vibrant plus it is very affordable. I bought this for my 12-year old son, he likes it a lot because of the size and clarity, although this is not for use as a main TV in a household because it is best when used in a small, enclosed space. Another plus is that the V-chip is very easy to use.

This TV was a great buy for me. I finally replaced a 15 year old tv and got this one. My video games look much better, and with the front video input jacks, it makes setup that much quicker and easier when playing my games.

When I bought this TV I thought that you would get whay you pay for because this TV was cheap compared to the other good brand names out there. I judged it totally wrong because it has oustanding color, its real sharp, and it is affordable. This is one of the best values for the little money that it cost. I recomend it to anyone. I've had this television for less than a month and I already have problems with the picture. I'm getting an annoying pinkish blotch of discoloration on the right side of my screen. be wary of buying this one. I myself should have taken the negative reviews into consideration. Do yourself a favor spend the extra cash on a better TV.

The Sylvania was a great TV! It has high clarity and it is very affordable! This ia a very wise purchase for someone who isn't looking to spend alot of money but wants a valuable product!

Bought this tv as an extra one for the home office.....for the money it puts out a sharp picture with nice colors. I love having the front input jacks for the kids nintnedo 64 console and easily switching to the game console using a button on the remote. My kids previously had their nintendo console running thru the VCR.

The worst thing of this set is the sound! This is probably due to the fact that the speaker is not facing frontward.

As other reviewers talk about the buzz, I have not heard any buzzing sound except when you turn the set off.

All in all, I cannot believe the quality of the picture and the nice colors I get for less than $120. Saw the same tv last week on sale at KMart for almost $30 more and that did not even include the tax. Buy this tv as a second or third set, but not for your primary viewing.

This is a pretty good tv. It is not the best, but is a very good basic tv. The picture is good, the picture is about as good as an RCA tv, the sound is just ok, It is pretty muffled and kind of loud, but you can still hear peoples voices and music clearly, the remote is basic, it works ok, but when you want to use the A/V jacks you got to get the remote and switch it to game mode, it is a pain but you'll get use to it. It seems like a pretty reliable tv because my friend uses hers everyday for about 5 hours (and she is not careful with her stuff) and she had it for about a year and it still works good. I would reccomend this tv to anyone who wants a good 19 inch tv and doesn't want to spend to much money

This has got to be the worst set I have ever owned. I bought it last week and right away there are problems. It makes a buzzing sound when it changes to a commercial etc. The box was also in bad condition when it arrived. I also should have paid heed to the feedback by others. DO NOT waste your money on this set. I thought with the name like Sylvania it would be better and perhaps the other couple of people were just a random problem but not so. Could have probably got a much better set at a pawn shop. STEER CLEAR OF THIS JUNK!!
