The compact unit sports a nine-inch-diagonal screen, stereo sound, three-inch speakers, a DC adapter power cord, and an onscreen display (OSD) for easy system configuration.

The DVD player handles an impressive range of media, including DVD-Video, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RW (video mode), DVD-R, CD, CD-RW, CD-R, and even CDs filled with MP3 files. Basic features include still-frame, slow motion, and frame advance, while four-step high-speed search scan (2x, 8x, 50x, and 100x) makes hunting out your favorite scene a cinch. Other features include zoom, disc bookmarking (up to 10 marks), parental lock, repeat play (all, title, chapter, track, A-B), CD random play, 99-track CD program play, simulated surround sound for stereo playback, and Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel coaxial digital surround sound output (for use with a compatible audio/video receiver).

Front AV input jacks accommodate hookup of a camcorder, gaming console, or a VCR, while a headphone jack facilitates private listening. Other connections include a rear stereo analog-audio output. The unit comes with a 47-key remote control.

Sorry, but I can't recommend this unit. We Purchased this combo for use in the kids bedroom as well as roadtrips. It worked well for the first 4 months - then the dvd went out. While the parts were covered for a year, the labor had just expired and repair was going to cost $150.00 - virtually the cost of a new unit. I wish I had positive things to say about it, but unfortunately we had some bad luck. If you absolutely insist on this set, do yourself a favor and get an extended warranty so you don't take it in the shorts come repair time.

I purchased this item at one of the Warehouse clubs. The price was good and the set worked fine for the first two months. During this time, I did not use the DVD mode on the set. When getting ready to go on a driving trip, I decided to test the DVD portion of the TV. After putting a DVD in the tray, the player would not function. The TV portion and AUX mode were still functioning correctly, but whenever I tried to play the DVD or even open the tray to get the DVD out, the TV would make a few noises then power off. Luckily this happened within the first three months and I was able to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. I would not buy this product again. I ended up replacing it with a similar Toshiba branded unit and hopefully will have better luck with it.

Purchased this TV/DVD combo new. The TV continues to work fine. The DVD player worked for about 3 months [Through the warranty for labor] and will no longer read or play DVD's. Look around the Internet; this seems to be a very common problem with this product. I will never buy another Sylvania [FUNAI] product ever again!
