Sylvania's 20-inch PFT (Pure Flat Tube) TV/DVD combines a full-featured DVD player with a cable-ready color TV to give you everything you need to enjoy movies in one box. Its built-in DVD player plays a variety of media--not only prerecorded DVD-Video movies, but also DVD-R (DVD-recordable), DVD+R, DVD-RW (DVD-rewriteable) in video mode, DVD+RW, audio CD, CD-RW, CD-R, and CD MP3 files. The flat-tube screen is designed to eliminate unwanted reflections.

The DVD player gives you lots of control--you can freeze frame, advance frame by frame, or view in slow motion (both forward and backward) at 1/2, 1/8, or 1/16 speeds. It also features four-step high-speed scan search at 2x, 8x, 50x, and 100x speeds. For convenience, you can also stop playing a DVD and then pick up right where you left off (resume play).

The player offers digital picture zoom with 1.3x, 2x, and 4x magnification. Other key features include 10 programmable marker points, black shift control, a screensaver to protect your TV, and V-Chip parental guide system. It also lets you choose from among multiple camera angles (when available) and multilingual subtitles.

The 6520FDD offers both 4:3 letterboxed mode and 4:3 pan-scan mode. The TV's 181-channel cable-ready tuner can program channels automatically, a real timesaving feature. The TV's onscreen menus can be displayed in English, Spanish, or French, and it's capable of displaying closed captioning. It comes with a 47-key remote control.

The sound system includes two 3-inch front-firing speakers with virtual surround sound and PCM/AC-3/DTS stream output. In addition to a standard analog (RCA) audio output, a coaxial Dolby Digital sound output lets you send digital, multichannel sound signals to any audio/video receiver with a compatible input. The TV also includes A/V inputs in both the front of the set, a game link, and an earphone jack in front for private listening.
