5.0 out of 5 stars LCD TV is Great!
This Flat-Panel LCD TV is really a great value for the price we paid.... It has a clear picture and we just have it sitting on the edge of our breakfast table where we can easily view it and it doesn't take up much space at all. We may eventually purchase an additional one for use in a guest room. Would highly recommend it..............

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Picture, Slow Tuner, Bad Remote
The Good: This TV has a very good picture for such a low cost set. I am truely impressed with it.

The Bad: The tuner in this thing is RIDICULOUSLY slow. To the point you hit channel up or down and wait at least a second for it to tune the channel. It is really quite annoying if you are a channel flipper such as myself.

The Ugly: The remote...

4.0 out of 5 stars Sylvania 6615LF4 15" Flat-Panel LCD TV, February 21, 2006
This review is from: Sylvania 6615LF4 15-Inch Flat-Panel LCD TV (Electronics)
Fine TV for the price. Two issues: (1) The instructions are poor, especially in trying to decypher how to hook up TV to a cable system; and (2)the stand -a leaning post- is really inadequate. What is needed is an optional stand/mount which can be used to place the TV verically at eye level or hanging on a wall. If I needed more small TVs I would buy more of these.

Great picture right out of the box! Attached my Satellite cable, plugged it in and turned on the power, selected Ch. 3 and ...Wow!! .. what a picture!! The instructions, I agree, are the poorest I have ever seen for any device I have ever purchased, and the remote is something Fisher Price would market for 3yr. olds'. But the TV is worth every penny!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable price...good performer, August 30, 2006

I got this TV for my kitchen. It replaced a 13" Emerson POS that used to sit on the counter. I also bought a swivel mount and used it to mount the TV on the wall next to my cupboards. When I don't need it, I can just swing it out of the way.

The TV was easy to set up. Like many of the other reviews stated, the remote is pathetic. I had planned on using my Dish Network remote with TV, however I was unable to get any Sylvania code to work with the remote--so I have two remotes. Why Sylvania could not stick with a common remote code, I don't know. The only other complaint I have about it would be the speakers. They sound like you would expect tiny flat speakers to sound like...this wasn't surprising. Other than that, the TV works great. I would buy one again.

Wow what a great product. I have this tv in my bedroom and I find that I want to watch tv in there more then my livingroom now. The picture quality is really good plus it cleared up a lot of space in my room now that my old tv is gone. I will be buying more Sylvania products in the future.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Picture, Slow Tuner, Bad Remote, December 28, 2006

The Good: This TV has a very good picture for such a low cost set. I am truely impressed with it.

The Bad: The tuner in this thing is RIDICULOUSLY slow. To the point you hit channel up or down and wait at least a second for it to tune the channel. It is really quite annoying if you are a channel flipper such as myself.

The Ugly: The remote. This thing exudes cheap. The other thing about it is that Sylvania, in their infinite wisdom, decided to break convention and make the UP and RIGHT arrows for channel up and down, and the LEFT and DOWN arrows for volume up and down. Every other remote on the planet does UP and DOWN for chan and LEFT and RIGHT for volume so when I go from one of my other TVs to this one, I will inevitably turn down the volume instead of changing the channel.

Overall, I'd give it a 3 because the picture quality is good and you've got to expect certain cheap annoying things from a low cost TV such as this.

1.0 out of 5 stars THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, September 15, 2006
This review is from: Sylvania 6615LF4 15-Inch Flat-Panel LCD TV (Electronics)
i would never ever ever ever buy another sylvania product.
after 10 hours on the phone, no call backs, no responses, surly help, two lost fax's and an inept service center
"well we have good news and bad news - the bad news is we can't fix it, the good news is you can send it back and get another one" (HA!) i still have a non-working tv after owning it for three months. for the time i have spent i might as well put the thing in the garbage ... i can't get a straight answer from anyone, including four phone reps and two supervisors and no one returns calls ... "i'll get a return authorization and call you right back." Sylvania stinks.

I got this TV as a present from my parents about a year ago. They picked one out online at Home Cheapo that was actually a good tv and pretty inexpensive, but we got the old bait and switch and I ended up with this thing. First, you will have to spend about 50 bucks to get a wall mount for it because the picture frame set-up is useless. It leans so far back that you nearly have to be over the tv to see anything. Tuner is wicked slow. It takes a good 5 seconds between channel changes. Not good if you like to flip between 2 shows at once. Picture quality is okay, but not the best I have seen. The remote is terrible and very fragile. Don't ever lose it and don't ever drop it because Sylvania is not listed in most universal remote manuals.

The TV isn't so bad if you don't mind spending the 50 bucks or more on a wall mount and if you don't mind getting up to change the channels when your remote breaks.
