I bought the 9 watt bulbs (compact fluorescent) to replace our bathroom bulbs. The old bulbs were 60 watts each and these ones make the same amount of light for 27 watts and that's the good news. The bad news is that they are a little slow to light to full brightness and we are adjustng to that feature a little more every day. We have noticed that even with the 2700K light spectrum, the light produced is not quite as realistic as was the old wasteful incandescents. The length is longer than our old bulbs as well as the color difference. We found that by selecting new globes from Home Depot in their lighting section, you could both cover the extra length as well as change the color of the output somewhat.
I think that we will get used to them and we are doing our part to save energy. If they only last as long as they claim then we are satisfied. We advise you to pick a wattage level one step lower than what you are replacing because these are bright brassy bulbs. ( 14w = old 60w/ 9w= old 40w) We found that the 14watt versions were just too bright even though the equivalent on paper.

I have had these for around 4 months at the time of this writing. They come on quickly but take a few minutes to be at full brightness. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

These work great. They are much brighter than I had imagined. They take a little while to warm up so they wouldn't be good in a place where you're just turning lights on for a brief second or two. I'd buy them again.

I purchased 10 of these bulbs to place into a Chandelier. These bulbs are a bit too bright and create a lot of glare. I went out to Costco and purchased 10 7 watt bulbs from FEIT and was much happier with the light output. The light output is much brighter than the 25 watt incandescent bulbs that it came with and there is no glare.

I have used three of the 9 watt bulbs that I tried in the Chandelier in my desk lights using the standard base adapters and I am very happy with the light output. Since the desk lamps use elongated bulbs, these CFL bulbs worked perfectly and provide a very bright working light.

I have used the rest of the bulbs in my coach lights on the house and I am very happy with the light output.

Bottom line, these lights work well, but are very bright and will cause glare in a glass chandelier.

It works well if it has about 2 minutes to warm up and get bright after a few minutes. I would like to see a CF candelabra bulb that puts out the equivalent lumins to a 60W candelabra incandescent.

I am happy to make sacrifices to be green, but I do wish that these bulbs were a little brighter and came to full illumination a little bit faster. I really need a bright space for crafts and reading, and I'm not sure how "green" I am when I have to supplement the overhead lights with table lamps. Oh well.

These bulbs have the candelabra base that some of the smaller / cheaper overhead lights and fans use, but also come with a nifty adapter that works with larger sockets. I've only had these for about six months, but they haven't burnt out yet, so I do believe that they are worth the more expensive price.

I got this product from amazon (2-pack), First time one of the 2 bulbs was dead out of box. I order replacement through amazon in dec 2008. By March 2009 both bulbs are dead. One died slowly by first dimming and then wont light again. Other one simply died one fine day.

I love CFL but I suggest never buy this brand: Sylvania Candelbra 9W. No Quality control...No peace of mind..

We're happy with the lightbulbs. There is a slight delay for them to get bright but it hasn't been a problem for us. The light quality is good and we're pleased to be part of the "energy-saving world."

We have been very happy with these on the light fixture in our bathroom. I awarded only 4 stars due to the size (big) and the exceptionally bright light. Only hope that they would last as claimed.
I've bought some from Costco by FEIT. They would not work on the same light but work on others. Study the light very well and found that the base adapters are different.

I had never seen compact fluorescent candelabra bulbs before, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased these. Overall, I am very pleased with them. One thing to note is that they are much bigger than incandescent candelabra bulbs, so they appear very close together in my 3-light chandelier.
