I bought this "Sylvania LD-155sl8 15" LCD HDTV with Built-In-DVD Player" on 9/10/07 and it arrived at my home on 9/13/07.
I had it for 48 days and it stopped working, no picture, no sound, nothing.
On 10/31/07, I shipped the Television ($40.00 shipping costs) to the nearest authorized "FUNAI" service center for repairs and it arrived to them on 11/1/07.
The service center diagnosed the problem, a "Main PC Board" and the Service Center placed an order for the replacement part with FUNAI on 11/6/07.
Today, I am still without the Television.
I watched it for 48 days and the Television has been in the Service Center for 40 days waiting for a replacement part.
I contacted the Corporate Office for help and nothing but, a bunch of excuses!
I will not buy another FUNAI product, based on their lack of urgency to delivery parts to the Service Center.

Great for a small space. Nice picture,good sound, easy to use controls.
I did my research beforehand and this is THE best value for the money.

This is a perfect tv for my kitchen. The sound quality is fine, size is perfect, picture is excellent. DVD is a handy feature, and although I've only used it once, it seems to work well. I'm thinking of getting another of these for a different room.

I purchased this for the specific purpose of using it during my wife's temporary stays in a nursing home. It's light and easy to transport. It has a great picture and fair reception with an inexpensive indoor antenna. The dvd player works well and has good sound. It's just what we needed.

The picture on this TV is definitely NOT HD quality. It is so poor that I thought the first one I got was defective and sent it back for another one. The picture quality of the replacement was equally disappointing.

Amazon's service however was impeccable.

The product arrive on time, it works fine, both TV and DVD. Not fantastic in picture quality but acceptable for the price. One precaution that it doesnot work at cold temperature!

This set has all of the makings of a great buy but fails in one of the most important areas: Channel Set-up.
After running auto-setup, the LD-155SL8 does not delete digital station channels that do not exist. There could be a hundred dead channels between active stations which makes channel scrolling impossible. Add to this fact that it takes about 10-12 seconds for the unit to determine if there is a signal or not for each channel up or down and you can bank on pure frustration.
Funai's customer service dept does little more than read the manual to you when you call.
They suggested that the user scroll through all of the channels and WRITE down each DEAD channel for deletion later. I calculated this at at least 200 hours of work to write down each active/inactive station and another 200+ hours going into the programming area and deleting each station.
400+ hours to set up a TV?? That's over 10 weeks of man power just to set up the stations. This was Funai's actual suggestion and confirmed by the supervisor of their customer support. NOT something I plan on doing!
If you intend on using this unit for analog stations and DVD playback it's a pretty good deal. Better sound quality than the Skyview Unit (similar price) and better picture too. If you want to use it for HD-DTV viewing get a Cable Box because the DTV tuner is worthless.

Great TV for the price. Built-in DVD player is a real plus. I bought one for each grandkid and they love it. Picture quality isn't that of a SONY, but good enough for guest rooms and video games on a 15" TV in this price range.

I needed a new T.V. for my kitchen counter & I thought this one might fit the bill, but, when it arrived (on time) & was set up, I felt that something was missing. I was not in love with the picture, which seemed greenish to me. It was just not an enjoyable experience, so I ordered a Toshiba HD 19" set it up in place of the Sylvania & I have been truly satisfied ever since (this was about 6 months ago). If fact, I was so pleased that I just had to write this comment to let others know how satisfied I was with the Toshiba. The Sylanvania is just sitting unused in my spare bedroom.

We bought this TV/DVD combo for our daughter & it has a great picture. We are very happy with our purchase of this product.
