I bought this because it has USB slot, to plug in an external hard drive, but although in the manual it says it plays MPEG4, it will not play them from the hard drive. It is a decent dvd player, but I really bought it because of the usb slot. I guess that is just for listening to mp3's or looking at jpeg files. I am still trying, and if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to try them!!

This product is lightweight and simple to get started, however if you ever touch the device to increase the volume or move it slightly, the DVD skips and you have to start the movie over again. Very frustrating. The portal holding the DVD fails to close properly which causes the movie to skip. This flaw can be fixed I suppose, but otherwise, the picture and sound quality is great. Makes me wish I could find my old Kawasaki player which played perfectly for 4 years until it died out.

The DVD player was very nice, good picture, good sound, easy to use. Unfortunately the player kept thinking the media lid was open so it returned to the beginning of the DVD. One could imagine how annoying this was as randomly during DVD playback, you'd be sent back to the beginning. After spending a few minutes with the DVD menu to get back to where you left off, you could watch the movie for another 10-15 minutes, before it happened again. Fails with multiple DVDs. Returned the player.
