God this is a realygood book! There are not many of her book`s that i havent like I hope she write`s100 more books she has given so many people HOPE the world can use all it can get!

This book was especially interesting to me because it told the story of Sylvia's young life and her first clues that she was psychic. Her grandmother Ada Coil, who she speaks of often, is the one person who guides her through this journey. Ada is psychic herself and from a long family lineage of psychics.
Sylvia's life story is very interesting. The stories about her early boyfriends are funny and sometimes sad as you can feel the hurt and joy of a young girl in her words. Her marriage to an abusive husband gave her two beautiful sons. Most people would be bitter but she's not.
Her mother was difficult to say the least while her father doted on her.
She shares letters from her grandmother that are always full of love, encouragement and sometimes disappointment. But each one ends with love and a dollar .
We all know Sylvia as a very famous psychic, medium and founder of her own church. But in this book we see her as a child, a young confused girl, a college student, a wife, a mother, and always giving her all.
Instead of just a famous, public figure, she's a real person. One that has had highs and lows, just like all of us.
Good read!

I am halfway through the book and I LOVE IT!!! It is really interesting to learn more about this beautiful spirit. She certainly knows how to tell her life stories!!

This book is a very personal and in depth biography of Sylvia's life and lineage. I enjoyed it, but think its not for everyone.

Horse crap - start to finish. It is a mental disease to believe your own lies in the constant face of evidence to the contrary. You will have a better time converting your money to dollar bills, throwing them up in the air, and watching them blow away and sink into a lake than you will reading this book.

The Clawed One is back! Sylvia, a real-life "Dame Sally Markham" of "Little Britain" if there ever was one, has hacked out yet another wearily woo-woo tome to toss to spiritually hungry seekers. I read a friend's copy (groan) and thought, "How...same?" Got to give it to her, Sylvia's quite prolific, if also predictable and repetitious. Her record as a "psychic," however, has been quite thoroughly documented by the skeptics who have checked her work, her painfully wrong predictions, and found her to be quite inaccurate (to put it mildly). Anyone who claims to be a "psychic" has made an extraordinary claim; like any claim, one requires evidence to validate such claims, and Sylvia fails to convince anyone with a rational mind. The Universe, the one that can be explored and known with reason, is a profoundly satisfying and wonderful place; why give your faith and your cash for such superstitious twaddle as Sylvia peddles?
