I wish the product page had listed the ingredients...if so, I would have never purchased. The mix contains more sugar than corn flour or corn meal. Sugar is the 2nd ingredient, and each muffin contains 11 grams. They truly taste more like cake than corn muffins, and not very good cake at that.

This is the best cornbread we have ever had. I originally picked it up as a sale item at the price chopper I normally shop at. I baked it and wow. I tried several times after that to find the cornbread at my price chopper and others, but could not find it. Finally, I looked on line and finally found it at Amazon.

This mix makes muffins that are very dry. If you add to it you can make the muffins a little more moist and tasty.

We normally eat Jif cornbread and decided to try this brand since we can order it online. The taste and texture is a bit more "coarse" than Jif; but my wife, the kids and I all like it better. Kind of like the difference between normal white bread and whole grain. The color is also not quiet as yellow as Jif, but looks fine out of the oven.

One of our weekly traditions is Chili and cornbread. This mix has made it so easy. We've had guests rave about this corn bread. It is hard to tell that it is a mix. It is very sweet almost cake-like but personally I like my cornbread that way. If you are not a gifted baker and still want some cornbread this is the perfect alternative. It is really great for a mix!

It taste good...but not like cornbread (to me). IT'S CAKE!!
I could eat this as a snack or even dessert, but not with my
meal. Not to be like many reviewers, I do realize that this
is my personal preference and this review does not mean others
could not enjoy this very sweet tasting cornbread.

Sylvia's cornbread is very rich unlike others, and very simple to make!!!!I shared w/family and friends, everyone loved it!!!!!
