HELICOPTER CRAFT MODEL

My kids have owned many helicopters in the past and by far this is their most pleased and enjoyable one, its very cool and lights up at night making night play so fun, 5/5 stars

I purchase this for my ten year old son for Christmas after three flights it doesn't have enough power to get off the ground. I wanted to contact the manufacturer for tech support but I wasn't able to locate them on the web. I would stay away from this helicopter.

Its broke the first time that im use and is not calibrate or something because i couldnt fly, i bought and small helicopter and im very happy because this helicopter is a really bad product

I bought it for $50, hoping for some outdoor fun. It's all around performance was disappointing. I'll just stick with my indoor Syma S-107's which kick a**.

To the point:
First day failures:
-tail blade (9074-18) consistently fell off motor
-tail blade broke: brittle cheap plastic
-No spare parts available other than China (a couple of weeks wait for replacement)

*Teachable moment: use parts from broken 'Airhogs' helicopter.*
*Replace both: tail motor and blade with broken Airhogs plane spare parts... (Happy :), it worked!).*


Second day failure:
-More tail end failures.
* Again, cheap plastic broke from one side of tail unit (9074-21).
* Teachable moment II: use electrical tape to fix it to alternative few weeks wait (worked!).
-Balance bar (9074-01) broke from main shaft. Connect buckle (9074-02) lost.
Much from the drives to the blades was damaged (cheap brittle plastic.)
We are only on our third day my son and I own this helicopter. I plan to drill through and screw on the balance bar and other broken parts. This way we will have a better helicopter than just replacing broken parts with other cheap brittle plastic.


Conclusion: This is a good hobby helicopter if you are innovative enough to fix it without having 'standard' parts available. I, in spite of being an Electronics Engineer, could not handle the disappointment of my 10 year old.
