3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to navigate on regular kindle January 12, 2014

The subject seemed interesting, and some of the articles were, but I felt like I was being treated like a kid in school who needed to be taught properly while reading this. They have a different approach that will not appeal to everyone, like a mixture of graphic novel and information magazine. I can see something like this being good for reluctant readers in high school or something like that. The best article was about the Congo fishes.

I found this comic book magazine to be surprisingly informative, innovative, interesting and intelligently unique. I wasn't sure what to expect when I downloaded it on a whim, (after accidentally opening the graphic novel category and noticing that it didn't seem to involve super heroes or zombies - & was being offered for free) but was far from disappointed in the quality of the artwork as well the richly diverse and educational material. I'm definitely hooked on this series and won't mind spending a few bucks to purchase the others available at Amazon! I can't stress enough the importance of guided tours thru the jungles of knowledge, and the value of finding inspirational, enlightening, and trustworthy candidates willing to light the way. This is among those few that are deserving of such recognition and kudos. Wonderful! Two upwards pointing thumbs to go along with my full 5 star rating and perfect 10 score......Cheers!

Excellent illustrations, and very interesting stories about ecology and politics. I particularly enjoyed Andy Warner 's and Sarah Glidden's stories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting April 2, 2013

If I could get this mag to switch perspective to landscape mode maybe it would have been easier to read the small writing while viewing this on my Kindle. I also could not make it zoom as it showed in the initial instructions . Aside from that, the articles were informative and creatively done . Very easy to read as the vocabulary is overly elementary and simple.
