4 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Mrs. Karen J. Alexander on March 19, 2011
Format: CD-ROM Verified Purchase
If you own a copy of The Alchemical Tarot, or the updated Alchemical Tarot Renewed by Robert place, then this CD-Rom is a must. The CD essentially contains audio recordings of two tele-classes given by the creator of these decks in which he explains the origins of the decks, their alchemical symbolism and gives hints and tips for reading with the cards. He also gives excellent background to alchemy itself explaining the 4 elements, the 3 principles, and the role of duality in alchemical symbolism. The CD also contains a printable booklet to accompany the class and other printable alchemical emblems which he explains during the classes. This CD is well worth its cover price of $50.00.

It is an enormous shame the Alchemical Tarot is now out of print as 'in the box-off the shelf deck' - although an art edition can still be obtained for around $350.00. The deck is a modern master piece and an invaluable contribution to the tarot world. Its colourful, bright and bold emblems work wonders when exploring the realm of the unconscious. If there is anyone reading this who could put this deck back into print I would urge them to contact Robert Place immediately!

I highly recommend the deck and this excellent CD-Rom
