This delicious cream melts into skin to moisturize with almond oil and cocoa butter and leaves you smelling lightly of comforting vanilla and relaxing sandalwood. Awesome! I love this lotion. It is a perfect texture for over all moisturizing, neck to feet. Not too thick, not too thin. Especially nice to put on after a shower, while the skin is slightly damp, absorbing quickly and making your skin feel SO soft, not greasy. Best of all, it has the perfect level of fragrance, just a hint of vanilla and cocoa butter, which will blend well with any fragrance, not over power it. I will never use any other moisturizer again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, January 12, 2011
This review is from: Sympathy for the Skin Body Cream by LUSH (Misc.)
I put Lush's Sympathy for the Skin on my Wish list because of the great reviews. Living in the Northeast, I need a body lotion that can meet the needs of very dry winter skin. While this product had some positives, there were several areas that I was less than impressed with.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the jar was that the scent seemed rather bland to me. I didn't notice the vanilla with hints of sandalwood at all. It didn't smell bad, but it didn't smell like what the product description claimed.

I found the consistency to be very milky, not like that of lotion or body butter. I used the lotion for several days and applied right after the shower. Typically, after applying lotion, my skin has a soft, smooth feel to it. After applying Lush Sympathy for the Skin, my skin still felt dry and rough. At the end of the day, my legs were dry and scaly. Not as much as if I had not put on any lotion, but more so than I would expect after having put lotion on.

After a few days, I did notice the light vanilla scent and it was pleasant. I feel that this would be a better lotion for summer when my skin isn't as dry, but it just doesn't cut it for the Northeast winter.

Love love love this lotion and cannot wait to try some other Lush products. This lotion smells like a banana smoothie and is very thick, a little bit goes a long way!
