This 2007 release is Remastered with 3 unreleased bonus tracks! Symphonic Extremities was originally released as an independant tape by the band in 1995. Only 550 original copies of the tape were printed before the album was licensed to Juke Box Media, a small independent label to be re-released on CD in 1997. Added to the CD was the bonus cut, remix of World of Sin off of Rowe Productions' Massive Frequency Overload Compilation. The remix was done by extraordinary guitarist Rex Carroll (of WHITECROSS/KING JAMES fame.) ___Ultimatum is a band that sticks to traditional speed metal. Symphonic Extremities is a feast of true metal that could satisfy the biggest appetite. The opening track has such blazing fast guitar that one reviewer suggested that the dudes hand wouldve fallen off. Steve Trujillo and Robert Gutierrez handle the guitar work throughout the album with incredible ability and technicality. Tons of ripping, squealing guitar solos just accentuate their abilities. Vocally, Ultimatum is very original. Scott Waters provides somewhat high pitched, yet still very abrasive and angry, these vocals fit so well to the songs it's shocking. ___David DeSoto reviewed the album in HM Magazine and said, Symphonic Extremities is a tight album... the music balances heavy, distorted rhythms, blazing leads and pleasant melodies For crunchy thrash/speed metal in the vein of Exodus, Flotsam and Jetsam, Slayer, and Megadeth, Sacred Reich, and Sacrament, look no further.
