These earphones are amazing. When I go to the gym, my aim is twofold; music to keep the tempo up, and block the outside world from breaking my focus. Something about the wood really does produce a deep bass that for the price is incredible. The braided cord keeps it from tangling/becoming a nuisance during workouts - it really is a great idea.

If I had paid 3x the price I would be satisfied; these really have ruined me for other earbuds. Awesome product, if you have read this far, stop what you are doing and buy now.

The sound from these earbuds is incredible, but unfortunately, the design defects detract from them so severely that I can't recommend them. The microphone is awkwardly placed and is constantly catching on my collar, sometimes even to the point of pulling the left earbud out of my ear. Also, the textured cord produces terrible microphonics. Turning your head even slightly to one side makes it sound like someone is unzipping a zipper in both of your ears. I can't recommend these earbuds until Symphonized addresses these defects. I sincerely hope they do. Having sound this good in such a poor design is like having a Ferrari engine in a Yugo body.

I am not at all a sound expert, so I am going to skip over the sound quality as it seemed fine to me. First off, the noise cancellation is decent when you turn up the volume a bit. While you can still hear a mummer, it will block out people's voices (i.e. I cannot make out what words they are saying), which tend to distract me. Hence, that is fine. The headphones themselves are nice quality, although it is difficult to make out the L and R (left and right) on them, so I just remember that the left one has the mic. Speaking of the mic, I have yet to use it, but have discovered that if you press it, you can pause and resume music (not adjust volume though, which is not an issue for me since I always have it on the lowest volume). This feature works for Windows Phone in case anyone cared. The cord itself seems sturdy despite some visible fraying in one spot (came this way, but has not gotten worse). The 45 degree angle on the plug is useful (on my old headphones, this is the part that failed) and appears to be of high quality.

The only main issue that I have had with these headphone is that I cannot get the interchangeable rubber buds off. Maybe there is a trick that I do not know about, but I am too afraid of damaging them to experiment.

Symphonized MTRX Premium Genuine have EXCELLENT BASS, and did I mention its good bass. ;) I've rated it 4 stars because its lacking treble. Symphonized MTRX Premium Genuine show their excellence on soundtracks with STRONG treble. They sound a little above average on soundtracks of moderate treble. When I got the Symphonized MTRX Premium Genuine they didn't sound as good when I first listen to them (MAYBE BECAUSE MY EARS ADJUSTED TO MY PERVIOUS HEAD PHONES THE SENNHEISER CX 300 II PRECISION ENHANCED BASS EARBUDS). By the way the Symphonized MTRX Premium has more of a bass than the Sennheiser CX 300 II. I let the music play a little then let it sit out in the air for a little and they sounded better than the first time I listened to them, but it still lacking some of that treble. Overall these are really good in-ear headphones I just won't suggest them to those who strongly listen to soundtracks that already has that booming bass. Hope this review was helpful. :)

Pro:
-Wood, which looks good
-It has mic
-Good audio quality
-Good noise isolation

Con:
-Nylon cable (should be a pro, but after two days of use, the cable is tearing up by the jack plug)
-It feels a bit clumsy in the ear

I'm still happy for buying it, because Audio quality is the first think to look for. Building process can be improved later.

Nice headphones, especially considering the price. Lightweight and very powerful bass response. Mid and high range response not as crisp, but still decent.

Excellent sound. I love using them at the gym because of the long non-tangle quality cord. They might feel a little heavy, to keep them fitted you would just have to choose the tip that better fits your ears.

Sound quality is ok. Stock Apple speakers with foam covers sound 10x better. The problem with these buds is that the cord transmits the vibration of the cord rubbing against your body/clothes. It's annoying to hear that when you are running or even walking. Bass is okay but the treble needs improvement.
