Most of the time its difficult to like a band when you've never heard their songs and see them live.

In "Symphony Soldier," you will find that The Cab is now playing to a new and delectable cadence with influences coming from mega-artists such as Bruno Mars and Adam Levine. For fans of The Cab, you may be interested in learning that Ian Crawford, former guitarist for the band, plays once again for the album. "Symphony Soldier" is sure to produce a widespread gathering of old and new fans alike to celebrate The Cab's new sound. Thus far, "Symphony Soldier" has proven to be the strongest and most eloquently written album from The Cab. Happy listening!

REVIEW:
The Cab isn't a new band to the scene - since the immediate rise in their popularity in 2007-2008, The Cab has already had multiple lineup changes and left their label, Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance Records to release their latest album, "Symphony Solider" on their own.

You know they're no joke when they can self-release an album and still have guest artists co-writing by the names of Pete Wentz (Fallout Boy), Martin Johnson (Boys Like Girls), Bruno Mars, and Adam Levine. And with such contributions, it should be no surprise that "Symphony Solider" was written for the masses - the pop-tastic calibration ready for radios everywhere.

The mainstream direction, as well as the typical pop lyric topics of love and heartbreak are all an overly beaten bush, but singer Alex DeLeon's vocals bring an emotionally sincere sound to the table that keeps all kinds of ears attuned to The Cab at least for a bit. If anything, his vocals are the high point of the album's success. The instrumentals are mostly insignificant (minus a few sweet riffs), although they contribute the overall sound accordingly. Maybe Alex DeLeon should consider going solo?

The album is well put together, each song has a slightly different flavour of its own than the rest, which is refreshing compared to many pop rock albums out there. But like all pop music, the party is over when it's over. There's no durability to the songs off of the album no matter how many times you try. In fact, the more you listen to it, the harder it is to continue doing so.

"Symphony Soldier" has a lot of potential in the Top 40 charts, but lacks that final push. What is that final push, you ask? Well if the The Cab knew it, this review would be an entirely different ball game.

So, I'm always trying to find fresh new groups instead of listening to the same thing everyone else is listening to. CAB has got to be one of the best that I have found in a long time. I have no idea how I landed and listened to them, but I think it was the album cover. I was ready to just click a few demo songs and move on, but as soon as I heard the first song, I stopped and listened to all the demos. I bought the whole album. The first reviewer said it best, that it is similar to Levine and Mars. However, I find CAB to be have a bit more energy and bite that the others. I see Symphony Soldier moving up the charts quickly. Thanks CAB for coming out with an album that is 100% awesome!

Really loved the Cab's 'Whisper War' so I was stoked when I heard about them putting out a new album last year, and I was not disappointed at all. Alexander's vocals are always fun, and the lyrics range from satisfying('Bad') to cute('La La,' 'Endlessly'). I'm also appreciative of the primarily clean content...I can only recall one swear off the top of my head, and 'Animal' is fairly sexual, but other than that nothing to worry much about. Overall very enjoyable album from a band who, in my opinion, deserves more attention than they get!

I got this album two weeks ago and man is it good! It has been on repeat. It just seems to get you moving. The guys have great voices and are super talented. Listen to the clips. If you like that, give them a try. You won't be sorry!

You probably heard "Bad" and thought "WOW, I love this song but I dont know about the rest of the CD". If you love one Symphony Soldier song then you are gonna love them all! The album is a compilation of sounds like Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Prince...why wouldn't you buy it. Just buy the cd and support these guys who dont have the backing of a record label so they funded the making of the album themselves. And once you buy Symphony Soldiers you'll have to get The Cab's first cd if you dont already have it. Then go check them out on the road this winter on the Everything's Fine Tour co-headlined with The Summerset.

Bought this Album through the 100 for $5 deal that Amazon does - & probably one of the best CDs in the October 2011 set. A music plebian, my general opinion of the album, is that it is very easy to listen too, with a good mix of sound and lyrics. If you like Maroon 5, OneRepublic, Burno Mars ..etc, I think you would enjoy this. :)

This album is fantastic! The Cab never disappoints. This new album is filled with songs that are not too long and catchy lyrics. Every song is unique, but they all make you want to get up and dance! Help support The Cab by legally buying this ablum which they payed for out of their own pocket. You wont be sorry.
