4.0 out of 5 stars This mobile is OUTSTANDING, but there are a couple quirks., October 15, 2004

This mobile was a life saver. It is so interesting and intriguing to watch all of the pieces that move as it rotates, that even I'M put in a trance. My son showed interest in it as early as 2-weeks old. Now that he's 13 months old, he still uses the music portion of the mobile, with the actual mobile removed, and he can easily operate the buttons himself.

    My only complaints are:

1.) This is a heavy mobile, so sometimes, during rotation, the whole thing will fall of to the side. Once or twice the whole thing had fallen on my son, but he didn't seemed bothered by it.

2.) The bolt that screws it to the railing of the crib is slightly small, and when the weight of the mobile pulls the mobile to the side, the whole thing removes itself from the crib.

These were things that didn't happen to often, and we were able to improvise solutions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Without a doubt the best mobile around, May 5, 2002

This was the second mobile I bought for my son. The first was one with a remote that never even caught his interest. After watching him interact with the animal one by tiny love at my mother's I went right out and gladly plopped down the $ for this one. Here are the main points...

The musical selection is great, not too loud and plays for a long time.

In addition to the spinning shapes, there are sliding beads that move down the supporting wires with each 1/3 rotation. These are bright and make a light clacking noise as they go down. My Son just loves to watch them and at 3 months, he even anticipates them falling (followed by cooing and kicking).

The mobile is very adjustable and allows for movement without music, but I can say we have never used this because he likes the music so much. He will even watch this while going through a diaper change.

Last, great battery Life! Need I say more.

5.0 out of 5 stars She loves it, January 5, 2005

This mobile looks very strange to us--a cube, a pyramid, and a sphere, brightly colored and with random appendages--but our baby daughter sure seems to love it! She often squeals with delight each time the yellow pyramid goes by, to our delight as well.

If you're expecting to get a mobile to put your baby to sleep, though, this is not the item to get. It certainly lives us to the billing of a "stimulating" mobile.

The classical music is very nice, although be warned: the packaging claims 15 minutes of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, leading you to believe that there's 45 minutes of music total, but it's really only 5 minutes of each composer. It doesn't matter to baby though, as she likes repetition.
