This mobile is OUTSTANDING, but there are a couple quirks.,

This mobile was a life saver. It is so interesting and intriguing to watch all of the pieces that move as it rotates, that even I'M put in a trance. My son showed interest in it as early as 2-weeks old. Now that he's 13 months old, he still uses the music portion of the mobile, with the actual mobile removed, and he can easily operate the buttons himself.
My only complaints are: 1.) This is a heavy mobile, so sometimes, during rotation, the whole thing will fall of to the side. Once or twice the whole thing had fallen on my son, but he didn't seemed bothered by it. 2.) The bolt that screws it to the railing of the crib is slightly small, and when the weight of the mobile pulls the mobile to the side, the whole thing removes itself from the crib. These were things that didn't happen to often, and we were able to improvise solutions.

Without a doubt the best mobile around,
By Stephanie H. Kraft (Baton Rouge, LA USA) - See all my reviews

This was the second mobile I bought for my son. The first was one with a remote that never even caught his interest. After watching him interact with the animal one by tiny love at my mother's I went right out and gladly plopped down the $ for this one. Here are the main points...The musical selection is great, not too loud and plays for a long time. In addition to the spinning shapes, there are sliding beads that move down the supporting wires with each 1/3 rotation. These are bright and make a light clacking noise as they go down. My Son just loves to watch them and at 3 months, he even anticipates them falling (followed by cooing and kicking). The mobile is very adjustable and allows for movement without music, but I can say we have never used this because he likes the music so much. He will even watch this while going through a diaper change. Last, great battery Life! Need I say more.

She loves it,

This mobile looks very strange to us--a cube, a pyramid, and a sphere, brightly colored and with random appendages--but our baby daughter sure seems to love it! She often squeals with delight each time the yellow pyramid goes by, to our delight as well.
If you're expecting to get a mobile to put your baby to sleep, though, this is not the item to get. It certainly lives us to the billing of a "stimulating" mobile. The classical music is very nice, although be warned: the packaging claims 15 minutes of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, leading you to believe that there's 45 minutes of music total, but it's really only 5 minutes of each composer. It doesn't matter to baby though, as she likes repetition.

Primary Colors!,

We registered for this mobile because it was the only one we could find with primary colors to go with our baby boy's nursery. We've been using it since the day he came home from the hospital. He loved the music and when he was almost 2 months old he really began watching it. He kicks and smiles and talks to it now. He absolutely LOVES it! It's definitely his favorite thing to talk to. It's given me a lot of time to get things done because he'll stay there talking to it for at least 30 minutes at a time. He's now almost 4 months old and the lullaby song puts him to sleep at night. We absolutely love this mobile!! It's the best thing we have for him.

I love this mobile,

I purchased this mobile alittle over a month ago. My 3 1/2 month old daughter loves it. I can put her in her crib and she plays with it for hours. She points and kicks everytime I turn it on. She even tries to talk to it. I would recommend this product to anyone. The plays music for 15 mins and gives me time to eat a meal, take a shower, and even clean the home alittle. I love it!!!

I can't tell you how much we love this product! Our daughter is now 4 months and until we got this mobile, she had never been as stimulated! The minute we turn this on, she is mesmerized! Each of the composers stay on for 15 minutes so it stays on long enough for her to fall asleep. It gives me time to shower or do some cleaning because she will lay there and talk to it for an hour or so! I highly recommend this product...I wish we had bought it sooner!

A mom who wants only the best for her kiddo,

My 3 month old son has loved this mobile since he was 2 weeks old. He is absolutely mesmerized by it. This is a great mobile for imagination, as well as social skills. My son "talks" to, makes faces, and chuckles at his geometric friends. Plus, it burns some energy, which my "active baby" has tons of - his arms and legs get quite a workout swinging and kicking in excitement. On a sidenote, [if your concerned about] batteries. I have invested in rechargeable batteries - in the long run (or even short run with all of the baby items that need batteries), I think I'll be better off.

BEWARE,

This product would be great if it actually worked up to par. The spinning is tempermental and the motor is loud when it does turn. I exchanged the first one and the girls at the store said this product is often exchanged and always for the same reason. You are better off getting the mobile to match your nursery and purchasing baby einstein along with a cd player for the nursery.

I had previously bought a mobile with all the cute pastel bears and a remote control....too hard to put together and not stimulating. I promptly returned the item and bought this spectacular mobile. The reviews were very helpful. When my product arrived from Amazon, I couldn't open the package quick enough. I was very happy to find that the mobile was so easy to put together. My seven week old daughter absolutely loves it. Colorful, stimulating, great music, gentle noises with the "beads", and cost friendly! Well worth the money. I wish I had found such an awesome item when my three and a half year old was an infant. A must have for all new mothers.

Great product ... But needs some tweeking,

As many other reviewers have said, this is a great mobile: It's colorful, stimulating, and the classical music is icing on the cake! I do however have two things that I think would make this an even better mobile: Adjustable height and the ability to turn off the motion but keep the music on. Let me explain why:First: My son gets overly stimulated by this mobile. It is really bold and in-your-face -- It moves around and down towards the infant, and my little guy actually blinks quickly and grimmaces when I place him under it; as if the thing were going to hit him! Because of this I have to lay him away from it propped up so he can gaze at it from a small distance (he enjoys it then!) Lying directly underneath it is just too much stimulation for him. Maybe he'll tolerate it more with age; he's just a tad over 2 months old right now. Secondly... I really wish you could turn on just the music WITHOUT the mobile moving. The classical tunes are wonderfully soothing and my infant would love to look at the mobile -- while laying under it -- with only the music playing. It's not as stimulating this way, but still interesting to look at -- which is nice especially in the evening when we want him to get sleepy and fall asleep! Overall I would still highly recommend this mobile, but I hope the manufacturer at least makes a switch that can turn the motion off independently from the music. |
