About the Author

DCS lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has joint custody of a Siberian Husky named Angelus. DCS is the science-fiction thriller author of critically acclaimed, The Synarchy Series. Synarchy Book 1: The Awakening and Synarchy Book 2: The Ascension, are the first in what will be an eight part series. The novels have been called, "The Godfather meets Stargate." and "...entirely unique." Synarchy Book 2: The Ascension has been optioned to be made into a major motion film, due out in the summer of 2012. DCS is the primary script writer for the movie, working with Producer/Director Aaron Williams (www.digitalmediala.com) to translate her vision onto the big screen.

I was lucky to stumble upon this book, I have read the classics and consider myself well read. This author is raw and uncompromising, she takes you on a journey and hold on because you are going to be taken on a wild ride. I work online and could not stop reading this book inbetween my work, I found it to be refreshing and engaging and also intuitive if that makes sense. Could not explain it any other way, you just got to read this baby, I can see this becoming a classic, because I have read the classics and I feel priveleged to be one of the first people to discover this gem.

I've been studying ancient cultures and the history of mankind for a little while now, but this book enlightened me to a few things that I had never even heard of. As a person who doesn't read fictional novels that much anymore, I must say I enjoyed Synarchy very much. Maybe it's because I've always been into gangster movies like 'Scarface' and DCS does a good job of combining that mafia family swagger with new age wisdom. We need more books like this one.

Not being a huge fan of science fiction, I initially balked at reading this book. After reading the synopsis I felt I had to read it! The concept of "Synarchy: Book 1: The Awakening" is so original and interesting to me that I felt compelled to read it and once I started I couldn't put it down. This book has a lot going for it: sex, betrayal, crime, deception, reincarnation, 2012, mobsters and that's just scratching the surface. I found Synarchy a very enjoyable read that kept my attention throughout the entire book.

Synarchy has many characters to keep track of but the author does a wonderful job of bringing each one to life. I definitely had my favorite characters and those that I grew to "hate." Every character plays a part in the bigger picture and they are all tied together in one way or another. There is nothing predictable about this book or its characters. They are both multi-dimensional and multi-layered.

The use of facts and conspiracy theories helped to make this a totally believable story. Who knows maybe there is more fact than fiction here. This book made me think and that to me is a main factor every good book should possess. Synarchy is provocative and entertaining at the same time, a quality I admire and prefer in the books I read. I loved the plot twists and the scenarios the characters found themselves in. I recommend Synarchy to anyone and everyone. I enjoyed it immensely and anxiously await the release of "Synarchy: Book 2: The Ascension."
