5.0 out of 5 stars An escape from this planet...
I have to admit that its nice when your are not dissapointed in a album that you have been waiting for a while, especially when bars were set a little high on your behalf.

Syrian delivered and meet my expectations on this album. This album is everything that I expected and hoped it would sound like, unlike a few other albums that I have purchased in the past...

3.0 out of 5 stars good dance music nothing more!
I thought this album would have a more interesting sound and deeper ambiance. To me it compares to a dance Enrique Iglesias album. Their songs have always the same predictable keyboards sounds too familiar for common dance music. If you want really good synthpop try De/Vision or Neuroactive.

I have to admit that its nice when your are not dissapointed in a album that you have been waiting for a while, especially when bars were set a little high on your behalf.

Syrian delivered and meet my expectations on this album. This album is everything that I expected and hoped it would sound like, unlike a few other albums that I have purchased in the past few months.

Melodic Trance meets synthpop on this one. This album is filled with heart pumping, energetic dance anthems that are surely to get you off your feet and onto the dance floor. There is certainly more to this band than just pure high energy dance music. There are a few mid tempo tracks as well as a very cool ballad that blew me away called "starless".

The albums starts off with a super melodic dance track "she is the dark" that includes a mixture of Italian and English lyrics (its nice to hear a language other than German for a change) and from there it takes you on a futuristic themes journey from the beginning to the end where everything deals with space, galaxies and universe. The vocals and the lyrics go so well with the very melodic trancy style of synthpop.

Once again, Future-pop is taken to new levels....

Being very into the euro synthpop trance sound, after hearing no atmosphere I was hooked on syrian. The melodies and beats arewell formed and the male vocals compliment it all so well. You just want to get up and dance. Also makes great driving music in your car.So if you are like me and love opening yourself to new synthpop or just want a great synthpop/dance cd pick up syrian

i bought this cd because the guy from a different drum recommended it-never having heard their music. i was more than pleased. I live for the perfect synthpop and euro trance records. and what this band does is marry the two-Very successfully. so i get my two favourite types of music in one. I can't even tell you what the best songs on this cd are because they are all great. The male vocals are fabulous and the synth driven beats are irresistable. this is a cd perfect for any party, or just listening to it in your car stereo. When i'm playing it in my office, more people ask me about this cd than any other. Dont miss out- order it now

For any electro/dance fan this is the Stuff!! It just doesn't get any better than this. EVERY single song kicks butt!! Some synthpop to me is pretty light on the bass but this BRINGS the thump!! It doesn't hurt that the melodies are great too!!! Simply outstanding!!!

Seems there is this unwriten rule that synthpop is either German or English. There are many bands that I really enjoy, but discovering Syrian was a treat. De-Synchonized managed to establish it self well amongst all the other techno/synthpop bands out there. People talk about cd's living in there players, but this one is no exception to the rule. Syrian has a sound that bites a little deeper and impresses me.

I had never heard a single Syrian song when I got this album, and it almost instantly became my favorite release on A Different Drum (aside from my own Cosmicity albums, of course!) If you like synth-heavy, electronic club music... but you also want to hear some catchy songwriting... this is a band for you to check out.

Highly recommended.
