Amazing Results--It Really Works!,

Did you know that February is Doggie Dental Health Month (at least in Texas)? I didn't, either, until my vet handed me an estimate for dental cleaning for my Pomeranian that included a $50 discount for this special celebratory occasion. That is, $50 off an approximately $407 dental cleaning.
Pregnant pause. Let's check out Amazon & see what the reviewers have to say about doggie dental health. I did a search & wound up here. I was a skeptic before buying this & decided to risk the purchase based on the reviews here. How could a little bit of green fluid added to a water bowl clean my dog's teeth? Well, it does. His teeth are cleaner and brighter, less "plaque-y" and his breath smells truly wonderful for a 14 year old lap dog. Really. No more doggy breath. I took another reviewer's advice and purchased this Dental Fresh as well as the DDS Dental Wipes and she was right--my little dog loves to get his teeth cleaned with the dental wipes, which help remove plaque buildup and are really good for gently cleaning the gumline. According to my vet, dirty teeth and gums eventually lead to inflammation that leads to kidney failure and heart failure, so we want to keep the teeth as clean as possible. I've been able to avoid the expensive tooth cleaning (by additionally using a human dental pick to scrape my dog's teeth myself) and his gums and teeth look great. As a bonus, he loves the taste of his water with the Dental Fresh in it and will actually sit down and look at me quizzically if I forget to add it to his water. This is a low cost, high return investment in your dog's dental health (and low maintenance for the owner, an added plus). Highly, highly recommended.

Makes Breath Fresher!,

Our poor dog had some awful breath before we tried this product. Add a tiny bit to each bowl of water and her breath is much, much better. Only downside is you have to keep using the product. If you run out, your dog's breath will be back to it's nastiness in a day. I have used one other product that supposedly works the same, but it didn't work at all. This one does.

Sorry to be graphic, but my two small dogs had breath that smelled worse than a corpse rotting in the sun!! If they were within 5-10 feet of your face and yawned, you would almost vomit! We were desperate and about to take them both in for an expensive cleaning even though I didnt believe it would work because their gums and teeth are healthy and clean. Anyways, with that overkill background information to get the point across, I will tell you that this stuff is absolutely amazing. They are now both cured of their severe halitosis,,, Completely!! They dont even have "dog breath",, basically no smell from their breath at all. I was extremely skeptical and expected little to no results, but for the price, I tought what the heck. With the results we got, I would happily pay 10 times more. Now I know everyone will get different results, but if you were on the fence, try it! If you get half as good of results as us, you will be thrilled.

Still waiting for results...,

So I was really excited to try this product because I have heard many great things about it. But was a little skeptical at first...and so was my dog. He normally drinks about a bowl of water a day, and I usually fill his bowl up every morning. The first week that I put this in his bowl I was only refilling his bowl every other day, which got me slightly worried. So now what I am trying is switching every other day with the solution in it just to get him used to it.
But even after all this (and its been about three weeks) I am not noticing and significant difference in his breath. So for now I am still skeptical. I am going t continue using this product and will update when done.

My dog's teeth are kinda gross, and brushing has been a slow and painful process. (I used to work as a groomer's assistant, and for most dogs, you can easily train them to chew on the toothbrush to start. But for Jerkface, she's a licker and doesn't really chew on ANYTHING so it's been super-slow going trying to get her to allow the toothbrush in her mouth in a productive way.) And yet, she actually loves this stuff, which is not at all what I expected, haha.
Here are my suggestions: -by itself, this product is not going to make a miraculous difference in your dog's teeth if they're not in super-great shape to begin with. I've had the best results in pairing it with dental chews/bully sticks/beef tendons--since I started doing that, her tartar has gone down noticeably. As a bonus, beef tendons especially make my dog thirsty, so once she's had one, she drinks even more. -if your dog hates the taste, build it up gradually. I like to pre-mix the solution with water and keep it in the fridge in a soda bottle, and then gradually increase the proportion of mouthwash in the water. In addition, follow the directions--if you put too much in, it definitely smells a bit, and that might be off-putting for some dogs.

This product may freshen your dog's breath slightly, but dogs get bad breath for the same reason humans do - bacteria build up in the mouth.
My dog has truly awful teeth, which are covered with plaque within minutes of a cleaning. I bought this product in hopes that it would help keep his teeth clean. I have used it faithfully every day for several months, and I can say with some confidence that it makes no difference. If you really want your dog to have healthy, clean teeth, you will have to suck it up and brush them. CET makes excellent products for pet dental care.

I thought I'd give this a try with my dog (Australian kelpie mix) even though she doesn't have any current problems with plaque. The product has a gross smell to it that my dog didn't seem to like. I stuck with the product and used the whole bottle, but I noticed my dog didn't drink as much water and there wasn't a noticeable difference with her teeth. We'll just stick with lots of chewy toys and brushing.

Freshens breath!,

I have a 2 year old yorkie that has terrible teeth and used to have terrible breath. Yorkie's have notoriously terrible teeth to start off with. For the first year or so, we neglected to brush her teeth and after a vet's office appointment scared us, we began to brush her teeth on a regular basis. Brushing would help her breath very temporarily. If we didn't brush it for a day or two, the smell would be back, and there was always at least a slight smell.
Two days after using this Synergy Dental Fresh stuff, the smell is almost undetectable! I imagine this is killing off the bacteria causing the smell and not just masking it. I am hopeful that this will improve her teeth and will update this review if it does work!

All I can say is WOW!!!! I have an elderly bulldog with gum disease. The vet says she's too old to sedate to clean her teeth and she has the most foul breath ever. Just being near her can make you nauseated. I put this in her water and within a day she had no breath odor at all. None, zero, zilch!!! It is amazing. I've tried every product available including resorting to brushing her teeth with mint tooth paste and nothing works. This product is one I will tell my vet about because there is nothing like it! Absolutely amazing. I'd have given it 10 stars if I could have!
