Ever wonder what DJ's listen to when they are home? Sometimes I wish I worked at a club where this would work but...Do they exist? Mr. Van Hees is the kind of artist other artists appreciate but may fly under the radar expecially in our old usa. Alas, the grammys are depressing enough. The corporations have won in america so all that's left is old fashioned indies only interesting to other indies(and college kids?) and the corporate schlock and rap. All these things will pass. Sven Van Hees will still be listened to when all this stuff has entered the 5 for $25 rack.
I depress myself sometimes. Buy this but be prepared to wait, mine took more than a month to ship, Mr Van Hees has his own label now-can't wait to hear who else he gathers.

Fantastic piece of work, true to the type lounge music like all the other cd's of Van Hees. Excellent back-ground music, easy-listening as well, small jewell....!

this original compilation from Sven van Hees is one of the most original and creative chill albums to come out in recent years, on par with Zero 7's debut album.

Tracks like Eneas and The One 4 Me combine funky basslines, brasilian drums and portuguese melodies. I played a few tracks from this album at a party in Rio de Janeiro a few months ago and the melody and sound went perfectly with the festive tropical atmoshpere. get this album, its an instant classic.

Forget Costes 8 and a very great part of lounge compilations on the street. Let Van Hees guide you thru a very elegant sequence of delightful compositions. Great vocals, catching tunes. Highly recommended.
