This review is from: Synfuels Engineering (Hardcover)
I bought this during a period when I was studying everything going on with synthetic fuels; this is an area of rapid growth for employment and development in chemical engineering. This book is an anthology of articles published in the late 70' to mid-80's on synthetic fuels. Several areas are covered including coal gasification, fume gas treatments, bio-fuel development including everything from wood chips and ethanol. While useful as a general review, the reader should be mindful that environmental constraints have changed significantly since the mid-80's.Since much of this material has been updated and may be available on-line I would not recommend this book to anyone interested in synthetic fuel except from a historic perspective. If this review was helpful, please vote. Thank you. |
