I've been giving my aging dog this supplement for years, and it has been very good for his mobility. However, when we ran out recently, I realized it was also the cause of his acid reflux issues... we switched to something else.

I'd say keep an eye on any stomach issues. Doesn't appear to be common - my dog is the only one in our senior dog community with any reaction to the Synovy.

I have been giving my precious old friend and secret favorite child, a big black & white, blue eyed Lab-Husky mix (I think) for about 5 years. I use the powder form because it mixes well into her food and seems to actually improve the flavor for her (she'll lick the dry powder if I let her). Most importantly, it has made a real difference in reducing the swelling and pain from her very arthritic joints. It is important to mention, as others have, that the product usually takes about 3 months to show its effects, so a bit of patience is called for. Also, the literature suggests that this type of supplement works for about 65% of dogs, so there is a chance it won't help, but certainly well worth a 3 month's worth investment at Amazon's price. This is actually the first time I'm purchasing this from Amazon, and I could kick myself for not checking here sooner since I shop here with some regularity. Forget the Vet. Although my vet first suggested Synovi (thank you very much), his price was $80, and that was 5 years ago! Fortunately a vet assistant suggested that I might find it less expensive online and when I did, that same day, I was able to return the overpriced purchase to the Vet's office. Since then I have been purchasing from another internet source at about $44 + shipping, per 960 gm tub, not bad at all, but not near Amazon's price. The bottom line is that this stuff works (and in spite of the literature I don't know any pooch for whom it hasn't worked as advertised) and you can't beat Amazon's price, even without free shipping. If your best friend suffers from arthritic pain and swelling, I highly recommend giving Synovi G3 a try, and get it here as long as the price is right.

I have been using this product for 18 months now, and prior to finding Synovi my sweet Lab was almost crippled. Since I have had him on Synovi he has gone from painful joints and crippling arthritic pain to running, jumping and a loving temperment. I give this product a ten-out-of-ten. I recommend it to any pet owner for joint pain and swelling! I have found nothing else that works like this, certainly not Vet meds...the side effects can be just as debilitating as the problem. Kudos!!!

FDA inspection Failed so the manufacturer was forced to stop production. It's not safe to feed to your pets. I ordered the same thing, just different type (tabs instead of granules) but was only informed after the sale why it was discontinued.

My dog ate this up with her dry food and a little water stirred up to make a gravy, for about 5 days she ate it and then she refused and would not eat it any more... I think the MSM (anti-inflammatory) may disagree with her stomach because I have given her another product in the past, a pill with glucosamine and MSM and she did the same thing. It's a shame because it did help with her getting up and down more easily and having more zip in her step, but I won't force it on her when she so obviously is repelled. I think I need to try something without MSM and wait a couple months for results instead of instant results like the MSM gives.

OUR VET SUGGESTED THIS PRODUCT FOR OUR 6 YEAR OLD 90 LB DOBERMAN. SAID THIS AND OTHER LARGE BREEDS MAY BE PRONE TO HIP

I have used this product on two geriatric dogs with arthritis and one adult dog with hip dsyplasia for a year, and I can attest to the fact that it works. It is not an instantaneous cure... it takes about two weeks to kick in, but once it does, it makes the difference between your dogs being able to walk versus not being able to get up. It also is not cheap, but I believe you get what you pay for (though I wouldn't mind a coupon once in a while). I use the granules, and at first you start with two scoops a day and put it right in their dog food with a little water, then once you start seeing results, you can cut back to one scoop a day. I know it works because a couple of times I ran out, and a few days later, my dogs were feeling it and showing it.

I think this product is fairly good. It took me many months to decipher which product to use for my 12 year old collie. She is allergic to any type of sulphur (glucosamine sulfate, etc) so finding the right product was difficult. I know this product has a minimal amount of zinc sulphur.. but after many hours of research and blood work on my collie.. it was clear this product would be ok, at least, for her to try.

She has only been using the product for a few weeks, but I can tell she has less joint pain and I think she is happier. Just the other day, she was jumping up in the air and doing 360's as if she was trying to tell me she felt pretty good.

I purchased the granules.. as it mixes into food better and not knowing if she'd like the taste i figured i could mask its' flavors a lot better. Thank god i purchased the granules as, at first, she did not like the flavor AT ALL!! So after a few days of researching food labels at the store I conjured up a nice flavor to go with her granules and food and now she loves it. I just added a low sodium, organic chicken noodle soup to her food.. and walla!!

I think the product is solid in its ingredients and anyone contemplating the use of it.. i would at least give it a try. there is a lot of hype out there with competitive products.. just do your homework on all the ingredients and any allergic reactions your dog may have.

Im happy I purchased this product over the many others out there.. and I think you will too.

Oh yea, one more thing... i did not start out with the recommended full dose.. i never do.. as i first like to see how my animal reacts first. In fact I have yet to use the recommneded amount. You may want to do the same.

Both my dogs are older, 12 years & 15 years. Arthritis makes it hard for the dogs to be as active as they should be. Synovi G3 Granules help keep their joints workable. To start out I gave them 2 chews a day and now 1 chew a day. But at times when they show they're having trouble walking I give them an extra chew. I can tell the chews help them. I purchase the chews at Amazon and they cost a lot less at Amazon than through the Vet's office.

Our 6 1/2 year old rescued large mixed breed dog was suffering from arthritis/joint issues due to poor nutrition when he was young. Wallace wasn't able to frolick with our other dogs, his gait looked painful, and generally he slept most of the time. We were unsure about how much time he had left before he wouldn't be able to walk at all. I found Synovi about 3 years ago through a Google search, read as many comments as I could find, and talked with our vet. After about 3 months of recommended dosage of Synovi G3, Wallace was truly a different dog. And 3 years later, he still thrives. He's able to run, albeit occasionally with a limp (but then at 60, I usually limp after jogging !) and his "attitude" is wonderful. We have put another of our dogs on Synovi as well, with the same great results. I sprinkle the "granules" form on top of their dry food and they love it. I unequivocally recommend this product because I have seen the results for myself. It has given one of our beloved pets a longer, more comfortable and happy life.
