Good but the acoustic version is better. Still, a pretty solid set from an experienced artist. Not a disappointment for long time fans and first time listeners will enjoy.

I am a fan of Metric and am pleased with this track. I chose not to purchase the whole album, just a few select songs.

Metric's SYNTHETICA is a great, consistent alternative rock album, and it's title track also carries this description. It's one of the roughest songs on the album -- it drops many of the synthesizers and electronic rhythms that the album uses in favor for loud guitars and pounding drums. It's straight-forward for Metric, but it's littered with great vocals, melodies, and interesting lyrics. The lyrics here deal with alienation and isolation in the face of technology, which is the theme that the entire album deals with. Emily Haines' vocal delivery of "I'm not synthetica. So hard to resist synthetica" is perhaps one of my favorite moments on the album. It's accessible, urgent, desperate, and pleading. Great song!
