Wonderful book! If you are a special educator and teach children with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, this is a book that YOU must have! It covers all 5 domains! It has your lesson plans, IEP goal and objectives. It has great ideas when you can't think of what you need to work on next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource for Special Needs Teachers, September 25, 2009

I bought the book for my daughter, a special needs teacher for students with severe/profound disabilities. She was very pleased with the book and finds it very useful in working with her students. The school system Special Needs department head is going to order a copy for herself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Life-Skills Curriculum, January 21, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Syracuse Community-Referenced Curriculum Guide for Students with Moderate and Severe Disabilities (Spiral-bound)
I teach pre-service teachers in the special education field. This book is old, but it's the best curriculum (really the only curriculum) I've found that teachers (OR PARENTS) can simply pick-up and immediately begin using for individuals with moderate to severe needs. It's simple, easy to use, follow, and understand, and includes examples, ideas, assessments, and IEP resources for curriculum (AND SKILL) development. It's an absolute must for your resource library and a wonderful supplement for general education teachers (AND PARENTS) who need to modify the curriculum (or teach their child) to be as independent as possible and successfully included.
