A recommendation,

This review is from: Syriac New Testament with Lexicon 2nd Edition (Hardcover)
This is a fine Syriac readers text. It was a gift to me over the Christmas holidays and a comparatively exceptional Syriac NT. The textual basis is the standard BFBS 1920 edition, however, this is a completely new text. The vowel pointing is crisp and accurate over an Eastern Syriac font and visually well laid out. In addition it has a newly published critical Syriac Lexicon appended. Highly recommended.

By comparison this Syriac NT is far superior to either the BFBS NT-Psalms or the Serto Bible published by the American Bible Society. It has digital quality print, larger Syriac font, improved vowel pointing, better book and chapter header navigation, wide margins for notes, and a collection of supporting publications if needed. This NT and the available supporting publications show that a lot of thought has gone into this effort. The world of New Testament studies has needed a consistent recension for Syriac reference works for a long time. Learning an Aramaic dialect as important as Syriac can now be done without having to wade through all of the inconsistent texts and reprints.

This Syriac New Testament is a pleasure to read and study through. It has wide margins for notes and is in a good sized font with extremely high resolution print. Having the lexicon appended with some citations is helpful and is very much like the UBS Greek text with dictionary. This is without a doubt the best Syriac New Testament I have seen and is the only one getting regular use in my study.

One of the finest,

Of the Syriac Bibles in publication, (most of which are reprints), this one stands out. After laboring with nearly all of the Syriac Bibles and New Testaments in print this one has to be seen to be appreciated. Just from an orthographic perspective its font is crystal clear, nicely sized, exquisitely vowel pointed. It also has matching lexicon and concordance publications to support it in identical Syriac script. All this combines to make a scholars text with supporting publications.
