Excellent reference for modeling dynamic systems,

I purchased this book for work as a reference for modeling vehicle ride characteristics. I had some background in bond graph modeling techniques, but needed a refresher. This book provides excellent background and step by step methods for obtaining bond graph models of mechanical and electrical systems. These models can be readily converted to systems of differential equations (state-space equations), which is what I needed for my project. This book describes techniques for both linear and nonlinear systems, more clearly than other references I had looked at.

Maybe a good book for refresher but not a good one for beginner; especially the causal stroke sign convention part
In chap2, the author claimed that "which will be further explained in chp3"; but in chp3, keep on saying "which will be further explained in future chaps" but never explain it clearly; sloppy work.

I consider as one great book to start with bond graph theory applied to mechatronic multi-domain systems. I use some chapters as a great introduction to this theory, for my research projects consider all support for many goals for an excellent structural mechatronic design.
I suggest this book for master degree program mechatronic design course and support for thesis development.

This book goes into great depth on systems. You'll like it. It's considered one of the best systems books.
