As horseplayers come in all sizes and shapes, I want this book to provide useful handicapping data for more than one select group. For those who have only the desire to learn, I revived my fictional newsletter character, Jay Morgan, and sent him in search of a System. The basic System expands to cover an infinite number of Indirect Influences, sufficient to challenge even the professional handicapper. It's profitability is limited only to the extent it is not used.
About the Author
Jim Taze first developed an interest in thoroughbred racing at age five when his grandmother took him to Pimlico. Racing remained a hobby while he pursued a career as financial analyst and statistician. He worked on NASA contracts at JPL during the daytime while he ran statistics and wrote a column for Research and Rating Report after hours. When he realized that many of the approaches applied in the financial field worked with racing, he left the corporate world in 1985 to devote full time to statistical data and analysis for thoroughbred racing.
