The books is consice in its details about the different categories that it covers, however there is no category that is not well explained. I like the fact that he enlist the different definitions of other theologians in different categories. I also like the fact that he explains the topics with few but profound and clear words.

Plus I went to the same seminary that Dr. McCune taught in Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He is one of the well respected theologian in the school and also in the United States.

This is a great book, where the thruth comes out in a simple yet understandable way for students and teachers alike...we are currently using it as part of our English Bible Institute and everyone loves it...the Theological aspect is good for the level of teaching.

Rolland Mccune's Systematic Theology is definitely a must read for anyone who desires to go beyond the basics of biblical doctrine. In many ways, Mccune assumes some sort of working knowledge of Systematic Theology, he really gets into topics that you wouldn't normally find in an introduction to Systematic Theology. For example, he spends a large chapter discussing dispensationalism, whereas Grudem almost ignores the subject altogether. It was also very refreshing to see a presuppositional apologetic in a Systematic textbook. Furthemore, Mccune writes in a very engaging and understandable way, allowing some of the more complex doctrines to be understood fairly easily. This entire set is definitely worth purchasing, it was personally challenging as well as extremely informative.

McCune gives us a readable, cogent explanation of theology in this first volume. The only drawback is the extremely small font in the footnotes. You will find this helpful book one you turn to often. His theocentric focus, reformed-soteriology, Dispensational position is a welcome relief from the other anthropocentric theologies on the market. He demonstrates a gracious spirit throughout. Looking forward to volume 2.

Absolutely excellent. An excellent resource for students at all levels looking for a precisely written and easy to understand systematic theology. It is conservative, written with conviction, simple in its presentation and enjoyable to read. One complaint: only comes in paperback.

The book came in a box ~ not a "flat mailer" type envelope.

I have always been edified by those associated with Detrotit Baptist Theological Seminary and look forward to reading this book by Dr. McCune.
