This book has three major aims: to formulate a new approach to some vital philosophical issues that have bedevilled theoreticians in scientific and other academic communities for many years; to generate a methodology1 for intervention (intervention being purposeful action by an agent to create change) that is consistent with this philosophy; and to provide examples from my own practice to illustrate how the methodology can be translated into action.
