2.0 out of 5 stars Shipping problem (condition of article upon arrival)
My only negative about this book was that it arrived in less than pristine condition. The package had obviously been dropped on the corner, breaking the binding of the book at the top. I wrote a condition report to Amazon, (with a picture), but got no reply. I have ordered many things from Amazon, and prior to this had been completely satisfied with shipping/quality of...

Stewart L. Tubbs is arguably the center of the Organizational Management Universe. His keen insight into how small groups interact is a complete compendium of the essence of how small groups behave in the work environment. To Human Resource Managers, this is a foundational reference manual. This text contains the facts behind each of our common experiences as members of the business community. This text confirms our good hunches and refutes our bad habits. This text will show you who in your organization is in need of some direction and who is on the ball with the latest techniques of inspiring the best in your people. I highly recommend this book as a college textbook and as a resource for good, meaningful, solid business practice. Well done Dr. Tubbs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful and Intriguing, August 17, 2008

I am in the middle of Ch. 5 of the 8th edition book and have found it
very intriguing, so much so that I have made small tags to serve as a
quick reference guide of the interesting concepts. He does a great job on dealing with the MBTI personalities, traits of a leader, types of questions to ask during a meeting, how to prepare for a meeting, and many handy and useful concepts. The concepts shared I've read about in
different readings, but they haven't been combined together like this.

This book is a combination of psychology and sociology for the
organization and a must read for those who want an indepth analysis.

1.0 out of 5 stars THE WORST EXPERIENCE SINCE I HAVE BEEN ON AMAZON!!, August 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered this book July 21, 2010 and was told it shipped on the 23rd. It is now August 23, 2010 and have yet to hear from the seller or received my book. My class is over tomorrow and have to do a 10pg paper using the information from the book and have yet to do any of it. If I fail my class Im definitely going to be upset.

My only negative about this book was that it arrived in less than pristine condition. The package had obviously been dropped on the corner, breaking the binding of the book at the top. I wrote a condition report to Amazon, (with a picture), but got no reply. I have ordered many things from Amazon, and prior to this had been completely satisfied with shipping/quality of goods. What really miffed me more than anything was that I paid for expedited shipping and then got damaged goods.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy Customer!!!, November 17, 2008
I was very pleased when I ordered this book from amazon.com. I was able to find this great copy of a book that in the book store here would have cost me close to $100. This was such a great copy of a used book. When I ordered it, I received it about a week or so later. That also helped with me being a satisfied customer because I clearly needed this book for a class that had already begun for the semester. When I got the book, it was in great condition and there were little to no markings on the inside of the book itself. It also came with the CD-Rom which was in working condition. It was extremely important to me that this book was in good condition and arrived on time. The fact that it was in such good condition when I received it allowed me to return the original book that I purchased. Had this book not been in the condition that it was when I got it, it would not have saved me money, and I would have gone through the hassle to return it. The only downside was when I received the book in the mail the packaging was poor. I had thought someone opened my mail, because the box that it came in was already open. That was only my major concern with this product. Other than that small little detail, I was extremely happy this with this product, the excellent condition, and the fact that it saved me money.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is MY professor you guys are talkin' about!!!!, February 2, 2004
These reviews just blow me away and impress me so much since I have Stu as a professor this semeseter (winter 2004) at Eastern Michigan University.
All i can say is that he is already my favorite professor EVER at this school, and he is not just talk, he definately lives what hey says and he is a great person.
I truely reccomend the listed book for use as a class room text, a refference and a leisure reading selection.
