The text covers a large range of topics in rf communications by discussing the basics of the subjects and then introducing more abstract topics such as measurement techniques. Also includes a large collection of relevant equations and a disk to implement calculations based on these equations

Not only is this book fantastic on its treatment of practical rf design, but it also has (on an included 3.5" disk) five Excel spreadsheets -- with 100's of formulas -- that make such wireless designs far easier to calculate. I strongly recommend Mr. Vizmuller's book for both wireless circuit and systems design.

A great book with lots of practical information.
The software is working fine and I use it a lot,
espically the lowpass filter design program saves
me a lot of time.

Many formulas with Excel disk to calculate. Very impressive and saves hours and hours of headaches and math.

Superb reference with large numbers of practical circuits,
design ideas, and test measurement techniques. This is THE
book for any engineer interested in learning about RF techniques.
The "Horowitz and Hill" of RF circuits.

A more appropriate title might be "RF Design Handbook". It will not guide you through the principles of RF design. However it is an excellent reference for many practical RF topics and circuit examples. It covers a range of topics from the higher system level of receiver blocks down to inductance of an airwound coil and PCB layout tips. It contains practical measurement tips and specialized circuits that RF designers routinely encounter. The book has tons of useful design equations and the author was kind enough to include user-friendly spreadsheets with those equations. I highly recommend this book to any RF engineer that does discrete circuit design. I would even recommend it to radio hobbyist since topics are presented in an easy to understand style.

A good variety of useful designs and formulas. A must for RF engineers reference library.
