Sensitive and Passionate,

This review is from: Szymanowski & Franck: Violin Sonatas (Audio CD)
Chee-Yun is the rare violinist who possesses true "voice." Her interpretations are personal, sincere, and heart-felt. Szymanowski is rarely heard in today's concert hall. It is a mammoth work. Chee-Yun and pianist Akira Eguchi overcome its technical challenges and communicate the sonata's airiness, fire, and passion with ease. The Franck, while more frequently heard, is given a memorable, sensitive interpretation. A highly recommended recording.
