T-34:The most important tank ever produced,
By Dalton C. Rocha (Fortaleza, CE, Brazil.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: T-34: Russian armor (Ballantine's illustrated history of World War II. Weapons book, No. 21) (Paperback)
I read this short, concise and full of photos(all black & white), here in Brazil. With a short introduction and some chapters, this book remains a good choice to read, as a short introduction about T-34.This soviet/russian tank was the easily the best tank in the world, when it was created in 1939 and put into use, in 1940. Failure of this book is that it couldn't show the use of this tank after 1970, when it was printed and has almost nothing, about the lack of space and confort of this strong tank. Such as Ak-47, the T-34 was ugly and crude, but it was easy to produce and stronger in mobility, protection and firepower. In this book germans claims that in 1941 and 1942, they hadn't nothing comparable to the T-34. |
